I am so excited. We have ANZA opening up the WTF event this evening at One World Brewing West starting at 8:00. If you haven't met these sisters yet, you are in for a treat. I hope you will meet me there.

ANZA (pronounced Ahn-zuh) is the harmonic teen sister duo of Anna & Anzi Rivers. They are Medicine Music song channelers and Indie Folk musicians whose mission is to create a more kind and intentional world by provoking thought through their lyrics and spreading love and joy through their melodies.

Anna & Anzi are known to captivate their audiences of all ages with unforgettable contemplative lyrics, and catchy melodies and rhythms that bring a healing balm, inspiring the heart and soul of their listeners.

ANZA is a word found in varying languages from all over the world, which means: the beginning, to take heed of, and to answer. It is also known as a spear that marks the direction of prayer, as well as a pasture beyond the elderberry trees.

We Are Kicking off Women's History Month this Friday at One World Brewing West with everyone's favorite female venue owner, Lisa Schutz. Anne Coombs & Company will be laying down some funky grooves with several special guests to add to their ALL Female Lineup.

Join us this Sunday for a WTF (Women To the Front) Sunday Jam takeover on the Indoor Stage at 6pm! The WTF Funk Project is hosting this jam and there are a TON of special guests all helping celebrate WNC Women in Music! It's going to be a fabulous evening of music. 🥁

WTF Asheville ‼️ Being a woman in the music industry means owning your power in a space that doesn't alway welcome it and navigating challenges unique We started WTF to give women a place to come together and discuss these challenges. Last year, we met a new challenge when Hurricane Helene devasted Salvage Station and our 2024 festival that was set for the weekend of Helene. We were so excited to be at Salvage, a venue where we always knew we would treated with the utmost respect. We miss you guys so much. We are excited to announce that Pisgah Brewing Company is going to welcome us this year on September 14th for a redo of what should have happened last year. Mark your calendars. Lisa & Jay at One World Brewing have always supported the Asheville music community and provided a safe, inviting atmosphere, which is especially important and appreciated by the women musicians and patrons who frequent the place. In honor of Womens History month they have dedicated the first week of March to highlighting some of the incredible women in our music scene. Starting on Saturday the first you will find blues powerhouse, Peggy Ratusz leading her Blues Invitational Jam and then Monday you can find the fabulous Rebekah Todd sitting in with the JLloyd Mashup and on Tuesday Cassana Monje is the special guest with the Grateful Family Band. Hannah Ramsey plays with Fee Fi Phaux Phish on Thursday and The Dirty French Broads play on Friday. This is all leading up the International Women's Day Celebration with Fancy & the Femme's, right after a somatic fitness class with Lizzy Zeta. See ya'll there! 💛
