Juneteenth Cowley County 2025: A Two-Part Celebration of Culture, Healing, and Hope
Join us in Ark City, Kansas, for an unforgettable two-days as we honor Juneteenth 2025 with two powerful events rooted in history, healing, Art and community joy. This is more than a celebration—it's a cultural shift, a revival of community spirit.
Part I: Juneteenth Family Fun Jamboree
🕕 June 19th, 2025 | 6PM–10PM
📍 Lovie Watson Park | Ark City
A joyful explosion of culture, fun, and community connection—for all ages!
🎈 Activities Include:
• Bounce house, face painting, balloon animals
• African dance & family music performances
• Food vendors, snow cones, and the ACPL Book Mobile
• Bubble Fun Run (6PM–6:30PM)
• “Battle of the Ages” Basketball & Board Games
🎆 Fireworks Show (9PM–10PM)
🎟 Wristbands: Just $4 unlocks the entire park experience! (To help us sustain this annual event)
Part II: Juneteenth Revival, Symposium & Resource Fair
🕕 June 20th, 2025 | 6PM–8PM
📍 Venue 208 | 208 S Summit Street, Ark City
Where gospel music, Black Culture, and community connections take center stage.
✨ Keynote: Frankie Kirkendoll of the Urban League of Kansas delivers a powerful, message of working together, reviving community and personal faith.
🎤 Performances by:
• Yolanda Lolar-Johnson – Lifting the roof with a spirit-filled gospel experience.
• Katie Brooks – Inspiring artistic performance from a rising gem of the community.
🙏 Benediction: Reverend Raymond Dempsey will open and close the evening with a blessing of unity and purpose.

Before, during, and after the program, local organizations will be on hand to connect attendees to vital resources, including:
• Healthcare access
• Adult education opportunities
• Mental health & wellness services

• Family and youth services
