Creative Avenue NW

Creative Avenue NW Creative Avenue creates markets, retreats, and gatherings designed to bring people together.

Focused on connection, creativity, and meaningful experiences for artists, makers, and the community. Creative Avenue began as a way to bring artists and community together through curated markets, and that heart is still at the center of everything we do. After closing our storefront at The Creative Hub & Coffeehouse in 2025, we returned to those roots while also expanding into new ways of gather

ing. Today, Creative Avenue focuses on thoughtfully curated makers markets, creative retreats, and community-centered experiences across Skagit Valley and beyond. Our goal has always been simple: create spaces where people can connect, discover meaningful goods, and feel part of something. You’ll see us hosting events like Summer MakersFest, Creative Reset Weekends, and other collaborations throughout the year.

Welp. I had a caption, but social media must be glitching.

The short version of it:

I love these ladies! It was a great way to start this morning with our monthly Women in Business Mastermind meetup. Always on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 8AM.

If you ever want to join us, let me know! It's an unofficial group - but great for support, accountability, and community. Save the date: next meetup is Tues. July 21st at 8AM

I have been asking this to my artists since I first started hosting markets in 2021:

If you could choose one word to describe how you feel when making your craft, what would it be?

These were the answers from the artists joining us for Summer MakersFest this July.

Joyful. Whimsical. Inspired. Proud. Peaceful. Curious. Alive. Giddy. Focused. Happy. Hopeful. Magic. Even “sane!” 😂

And I kind of love what that says about the people who will be filling Maple Hall this summer.

These are people making things because they genuinely love creating. People spending hours painting, sewing, firing pottery, blending teas, making skincare, pouring candles, crocheting plushies, carving wood, stitching journals, and making beautiful things by hand.

One of my favorite parts of markets has always been getting to meet the actual person behind what they make and hearing how they started. It's so cool to watch someone light up when they talk about their craft. It makes their story and their craft even more special when you know there’s a real human story behind it.

I’m really excited for this lineup and can’t wait to share these artists with you.

Psst... Did you see the announcement that a 2nd Holiday Market has been added to the calendar this year?

There were so many amazing applicants for the Nov. 28th market that it was just too hard to choose, so I added a second Holiday MakersFest on Sat. Dec. 12th at the Depot in Anacortes.

A handful of vendors from the November market were happy to move to December (thank you!!), but we still have space for about 25 more vendors and a few categories are already full.

If you’re interested in applying, make sure to read through the info page before submitting an application:
https://www.creativeavenuenw.com/holidaymakersfest

The application process closes June 30th at 6PM.

This market is designed for artists, makers, and creative small businesses selling handmade goods, original artwork, thoughtfully designed products, specialty foods, and meaningful gifts made with care. If you love creating something unique and connecting with shoppers who value handmade, this is probably your kind of market.

Holiday MakersFest: Encore!
🗓 Sat. Dec. 12th, 2026
🕒 10AM-4PM
📍 Indoors at the Depot, 611 R Ave, Anacortes, WA

We are still having our Holiday MakersFest on Sat. Nov. 28th for Shop Small Saturday - it is currently full for vendors. If you are interested in adding your name to the waiting list - you can do so on the application link above.

Just 6 weeks from tomorrow, our Summer MakersFest Market is going to come up fast!

And I’m getting really excited about this one... not just because it's my return to the market world, but because I am obsessed with the artists who will be joining me.

There will be over 40 artists and makers filling Maple Hall with all kinds of handmade goodness. Original art, pottery, stained glass, handcrafted clothing, journals, candles, botanical skincare, crochet plushies, tea, lemonade, garden art, woodwork, handmade gifts, and so much more.

One of my favorite parts of markets is getting to meet the actual people behind what they create and hearing them share about their passion. You get to hear the stories, ask questions, and discover things that delightfully surprise you that you want to gift to a friend (or keep for yourself).

This would make such a fun summer outing with a friend, your mom, your partner, or honestly just a good excuse to wander around La Conner for the day and support local artists.
