Focused on connection, creativity, and meaningful experiences for artists, makers, and the community. Creative Avenue began as a way to bring artists and community together through curated markets, and that heart is still at the center of everything we do. After closing our storefront at The Creative Hub & Coffeehouse in 2025, we returned to those roots while also expanding into new ways of gathering. Today, Creative Avenue focuses on thoughtfully curated makers markets, creative retreats, and community-centered experiences across Skagit Valley and beyond. Our goal has always been simple: create spaces where people can connect, discover meaningful goods, and feel part of something. You’ll see us hosting events like Summer MakersFest, Creative Reset Weekends, and other collaborations throughout the year.

Still drawing a blank on a gift for the person who would appreciate something a little more thoughtful this holiday season?

I’m so excited to keep introducing our holiday market artists, and this second group is full of work you can hang, frame, or put on display.

These artists are joining us for the Nov. 28th Holiday MakersFest.

What you’ll find:
Original watercolor and ink illustrations, PNW inspired pastels and acrylics, fine art photography printed on metal and acrylic, 3D paper shadow boxes created layer by layer, Celtic inspired giclee prints and hand sewn banners, and photo cards shot right here in the Skagit Valley.

Ever had someone stop you just to ask where you got something?

A few of the artists joining us Nov. 28th create things that will get complimented everywhere you go, and I'm so excited to start introducing all of our holiday market artists - so here is our first introduction!

What you'll find:
Slow fashion sewn from upcycled and vintage fabric, hand burned custom hats finished with charms and feathers, one of a kind metalsmith jewelry, leather earrings cut from scraps that would’ve landed in a dump, tiny wooden earrings hand painted and sealed to last, and vintage sourced clothing and household pieces with real history behind them.

A friend and I had this discussion the other day.

At what point do you answer the question, "are you an artist" with yes?

I love crafting, and for a while, I had a hard time saying I was an artist. I thought that title could only be claimed by a "professional" artist who gets paid for their work.

Then I realized, once you start creating, you are automatically an artist.

Do you agree? Or what do you think?
