ABOUT RISING HIGH ARTS FESTIVAL
This multi-disciplinary festival is a collaboration of artists, organizations, and businesses that aim to elevate the Downtown Albuquerque experience for residents and visitors alike.

Come to FUSION | 708 TONIGHT, October 16th, at 6 PM for a live figure drawing session with quality bar service by and live music featuring the keyboard stylings of Calvin Appleberry! Study from a live unclothed model with a classical art approach with no adornment, draping, or garments unless requested by the model.

The night includes:
•Live figure drawing fun!
•Three models
•Live music featuring the keyboard stylings of Calvin Appleberry
•Adult beverages
•Great vibe!

This is an inclusive and respectful community. They welcome artists of all skill levels and from all backgrounds, creeds, races, genders, and orientations. Discrimination, aggression, disruptive behavior, or bullying of any kind will not be tolerated. All dry mark-making materials (graphite, charcoal, pastel, etc.) as well as pens and markers are allowed. Watercolors are also permitted but must be accompanied by a drop cloth and materials to clean any spills. Odor-producing solvents, paints, aerosol/spray cans, or mediums are not permitted. Tables, chairs, and a few easels are available. Participants are welcome to bring portable or desktop easels.

Come early to set up!

The session is $10 plus a model tip. Reserve your spot if you plan to attend at RisingHighArtsFest.org!

FUSION presents the “Rising High Mural Expo: Paint in Progress” featuring five local artists curated by Lapis Room at FUSION | The Meadow. On view for the duration of the Rising High Arts Festival, October 10th–20th (and beyond)!

With the prompt of “industry meets nature,” Lapis Room’s community of artists were selected to bring a contemporary perspective to FUSION’s vibrant, historical district. Painting is underway and is expected to be completed by the end of October. FUSION and Lapis Room invite visitors to experience the works in progress!

Featured artists include Joshua Patterson, Thomas Christopher Haag, Beedallo, Aquilla Kappy, and David Kappy.
