Театральний фестиваль "Кіт Ґаватовича" Міжнародний театральний фестиваль , організатор перформативної резиденції і найчарівніший кіт

Якуб Ґаватович – театральний діяч ХVII століття, який вперше поставив театральну виставу у публічному просторі на Західній Україні. «Продав кота у мішку» – це одна з його драматургічних робіт. Гра слів «Кіт Ґаватовича» кидає сенсовий виклик глядачеві та митцеві, адже повернення до вуличної форми театру, а саме сценічних форм із використанням громадських просторів, дозволяє говорити про нову форму

театрального мистецтва, яке не замикається від глядача. Основна думка фестивалю «мистецтво не тільки для митців».

Протягом 6 років існування міжнародний театральний фестиваль "Кіт Ґаватовича" покликаний наблизити театр та різні його форми до глядача. На нашому фестивалі глядач має змогу вільно спілкуватись із зірками театру, обмінюватися думками і шукати однодумців, відкривати для себе нові типи театральних видовищ та перебувати у різних сценічних просторах.

Our forum theatre play was performed in Gelsenkirchen with active participation of audience- local community that is deeply included into city life.
We are grateful to all participants, lecturers, trainers and jokers for making all this happen!

This project was motivated by our need to bring marginalised voices of Ukrainian female forced workers, their dramatic stories gives us a possibility to transform a traumatic experience into social justice.

Now in Ukraine we need to learn transformative methods that can help us to heal our traumas. Its always dangerous to be re traumatised by launching this kind of projects with recent traumatic events, that is why it’s important to set a distance. In our case TIME is a distance that helps us to work deeply with little stories of ordinary people and get ideas that we can implement in our practice.

Dear - your expertise and knowledge is very valuable for our project and we believe all participants will have a possibility to implement gained tips, methods and information in their own research and art practice.

The project was made possible through the support of the RHIZOM/RAZOM programme, within the framework of the “Civil Society Cooperation” initiative, organised by the Federal Foreign Office of Germany. The programme is coordinated by the Ukrainian Institute in Germany in cooperation with Insha Osvita.

With an instrument of forum-theatre Ukrainian joker will train participants from Ukraine and Germany to empower audience members of Gelsenkirchen town to retransform Second world war experience into a social and political change. Final result - public performance with audience involvement.
