Next up, we have a speaker who bridges the gap between European and East Asian perspectives. Let’s welcome Anette!

🔸 About her
Anette Luo is a German educator with a background in Sinology and a Master’s in Global Communication. Having spent over six years living across China and Taiwan, she is fascinated by how language mirrors cultural values. Currently a German lecturer at Fu Jen Catholic University, she also runs the creative Instagram project , where she and her students explore the fascinating cultural nuances between Taiwan and Germany.

💬 About the workshop
Ever felt like something was "lost in translation" when dealing with German communication styles? This is more than a talk—it’s a practical workshop! Anette will guide participants through real-life examples and interactive role plays to navigate professional hurdles. You'll learn how to handle misunderstandings and communicate with clarity and confidence in a German-speaking environment.

Amy is a passionate connector who believes language is the bedrock of authentic cross-cultural communication. As the Head of International Affairs at the Taiwan Academy of Banking and Finance (TABF), she leverages her linguistic skills to build trusted global partnerships. A true lifelong learner, she is constantly refining her English and Japanese while eyeing Spanish and French as her next frontiers. For Amy, language isn't just a tool—it's a strategic bridge for meaningful collaboration.

Let's welcome Fulan!

🔸About her
Lee, Fu-lan is a Mandarin teacher from Taiwan with a deep passion for both learning languages and reflecting on the pedagogical process. She has experience teaching Chinese to learners from all corners of the globe and thrives on exchanging cultural insights with fellow language enthusiasts.

💬 About the speech

How does being a student change the way you teach? In this talk, Fu-lan reflects on how her journey with English, Polish, and Spanish—learned across different contexts and strategies—reshaped her approach to teaching Mandarin. She will share personal examples and insights on how these experiences influenced her views on pronunciation, listening, and setting learning priorities.

Now it is finally the time to present our speakers. Let's welcome Benny!

🔸About him
Benny Lewis been nomadic for 23 years, travelling the world to learn languages. He founded the blog, Fluent in 3 Months, and wrote the international best-selling book of the same title. It has been translated to dozens of languages, including here in Taiwan (三個月外語流利術). He has given TED talks, is a European Union language ambassador, has millions of views across his YouTube channel and Tiktoks. He speaks 6 languages fluently and can get by basically in many more. Everything he owns in the entire world weighs 23kg.

No matter how long you've been learning a language, there may still be ways to do it more efficiently. Here is a lightning round of very quick tips that can apply no matter what language you are focused on, from the original language hacker, Benny!

Benny Lewis 至今經歷了23 年的遊牧式生活，一邊環遊世界一邊學習語言。他創立了知名部落格 Fluent in 3 Months，並出版了同名的國際暢銷書。這本書已被翻譯成數十種語言，其中也包括在台灣出版的版本 《三個月外語流利術》。

他曾發表 TED 演講，也是歐盟語言大使，在他的 YouTube 與 TikTok 頻道上累積了數百萬次觀看。他能流利使用 6 種語言，並且也能用許多其他語言進行基本溝通。有趣的是他在全世界所有的家當，加起來只有 23 公斤！
