Matazuwa

是排灣族語，「就是這樣！」的意思。哈哈～是不是很酷！他的意思就是這麼簡單，不要懷疑。那，什麼時候會用到這個字呢？就是當我們想問老人家東西的時候：「vuvu~這個東西是這樣做嗎？」通常老人家會用很肯定的語氣說：Wi~Matazuwa!!（對！這是這樣～）

禮納里幾位青年因為暑假沒事做，時常往「禮納里產銷中心」跑，在多次與部落工藝家們聊天後，發現工藝家們的產品這麼好用與好看，但為何產品的銷售門路如此窄？於是擠出了這個想法，就是想進行跨部落整合的藝術節｜Art+Life｜活動。透過自主規劃、討論及組織想要的藝文方式，想用力傳達在部落裡生活的好價值。跟幾位藝術工作者討論事情實在有趣及高潮，沒想到參與式的討論可以如此運用，且整個協商與討論是由我們這群青年作為核心主軸，並進行多項事務的協商與分工！我只能說，信任確實是這整個過程中最重要的基礎。部落藝術工作者很信任年輕人。但沒有足夠

的經費該如何進行？一開始其實很擔心，現在也是，但幾位藝術工作者表現出來的態度，實在讓我感動。有一種：「錢就是要不夠，因為這樣才有讓力量凝聚的機會。」我們想做到生活節活動不委外經營、不外包給別人做規劃，完全由自己部落的青年或是跨部落來整合與組織，從行銷、產品包裝、活動宣傳、到節目流程設計都是。整個就是要用力扎根的概念，希望大家來感受與支持～

About｜Matazuwa Life Festival

It is how everything begins…

The word “Matazuwa” is a Paiwan term, means “just like this”. When we ask the elders about something, we might say,” vuvu (grandfather or grandmother in the Indigenous Paiwan language), is this done like this?” Our elders would then respond in a positive tone, “Wi, matazuwa! (Yes, just like this.)”

There are some youth in Rinari had nothing to do during the summer and they visited the Rinari Production and Sales Center all the time when they got bored. After talking with the artists and craftsmen there, the youth can’t help but wondering, all the products are so beautiful and useful, but how come there are only very limited means of selling and marketing? That is why they came up with this idea to coordinate with different communities and hold an Art+Life Festival. They wish to express the great and wonderful value to live in the communities via self-initiated planning, discussion and organization regarding a way of cultural expression they want. It was a lot of fun to discuss and plan with the artists and craftsmen. The youth didn’t know the approach of participatory discussion could be applied in this manner. We also made all the decisions and coordination. If you ask us, we would say, if all these could be possible, “TRUST” was the one and only yet strong reason. The artists and craftsmen in the communities just trust us with no doubt. However, how could we start with no sufficient fund? We were very worried at the beginning, well, actually we are still worried now. Yet, the attitude shown by the artists really moved and changed us. They told us, “It is perfect if we don’t have sufficient money. So there is the opportunity to gather our strength all together so tightly.” What we want to do is an Art+Life Festival with no commissioned organization, no commissioned planning, but from the very first beginning to the very last end, including advertisement, promotion, packaging, and programming, it is all coordinated and organized by the youth in the communities. It is about the concept of rooting deep, and we invite you to come join us and experience it.
