After exploring the works of many male artists, we now turn our attention to two female artists from TPY Batches 45 and 47, whose creations bring fresh perspectives and deeply personal expressions to the exhibition.
Pleng, a bright and talented artist from Batch 45, graduated from Mahidol University with a background in medical device and equipment design, a field that demands both artistic sensibility and a strong understanding of medical science. Yet, at heart, Pleng’s true passion has always been art. After completing her studies and participating in the Ship program, she moved to the United Kingdom to further her education, where she currently resides and continues her artistic practice in printmaking. Her exhibited works are created using the etching technique, forming a series of memories inspired by the Nippon Maru. Each carefully incised line, scratched into metal-coated surfaces, etched with acid, inked, printed, scraped, tested, and repeated again and again, reflects a meticulous and meditative process. Every line pressed onto the plate reinforces her deep longing and affection for the ship she holds so dearly in her heart.
Mommam, a participating youth from Batch 47, works in a unique profession as a visual note-taker, documenting moments through drawing. Many may wonder what such a profession entails. Rather than typing transcripts or producing written summaries, Mommam captures meetings and events through hand-drawn illustrations using her own distinctive technique. Each drawing conveys stories and key messages with remarkable clarity and precision. While some illustrators may spend months completing a single image, the ability to produce sharp, real-time visual records is a rare skill possessed by only a handful. Her works presented in this exhibition are line drawings that record beautiful impressions blended with imagination, reaching beyond her own memories into something more poetic and expansive.
The final artist of this exhibition is Win, a promising young designer from Batch 48. He has created a collection of logos, souvenirs, apparel, and various design items in collaboration with friends. These works will be showcased once again in a special corner of the exhibition, a quiet, reflective space where visitors are invited to sit comfortably and write postcards to friends, loved ones, or even to themselves, at their own pace.
Meet these artists and experience their original works in person at ROB2026, held at OB Port, Khlong Toei, on 13 February 2026, for one day only.
