🌕 A wave of “inner peace” has arrived in Seattle, where the glow of the full moon blends with meditation to create a uniquely cool lifestyle embraced by locals.

🌏 In an age of constant busyness and endless smartphone notifications, many are beginning to ask: when was the last time we truly felt at peace?

🌕 At the recent full moon night, the Seattle Meditation Center in Washington transformed into an oasis of calm, hosting a “Full Moon Meditation” that drew people from diverse backgrounds—showcasing meditation as a universal language beyond religion.

✨ Through simple yet powerful stillness, candlelight rituals, mindful walking, and shared cultural experiences, participants connected deeply with themselves and one another.

✈️ More than a tradition, meditation is becoming an essential modern lifestyle—bridging cultures and reminding the world that true peace begins within.

500 novice monks from Nepal listened to sermons, chanted, and practiced meditation together.
At the International Assembly and Meditation Hall, Lumbini.

The light of wisdom and peace in the practice of nurturing religious heirs... Learning and training according to Buddhist principles, a day of learning filled with important content for the 500 novice monks. They received the utmost kindness from Phra Khru Viboon Nititham (Paiboon Thammavipulo), who graciously traveled to deliver a sermon on the topic of "The Law of Karma" (The Law of Cause and Effect) to create a correct understanding of performing good deeds for a prosperous future on the path of Dharma. In addition, there was meditation practice led by a team of expert monastic instructors (monastic tutors), along with recording of meditation results to examine the state of inner peace. In the evening, they watched a 3D film about the history of novice monks in the Tripitaka and the law of karma to enhance their imagination and deeper understanding of Buddhist history.
We offer our heartfelt appreciation for the dedication of all the Dharma heirs and everyone involved today.

Thai Buddhist Monks Unveil Formula for Peace at International Forum Celebrating the Dalai Lama's 90th Birthday

On March 23, 2026, Phra Khru Sumuh Sanitwong Wutthiwanso, Director of the Public Relations Office of Wat Phra Dhammakaya, Pathum Thani Province, revealed that in celebration of the Dalai Lama's 90th birthday, an international seminar on "Great Compassion" was held at The Great Stupa of Universal Compassion in Australia on March 21, 2026. Spiritual leaders from various denominations worldwide, along with government representatives and academics, participated to exchange ideas towards world harmony and peace.

In this regard, Phra Khru Bhavanayanavithet (Ronrawee Ravipho), Abbot of Wat Phra Dhammakaya Melbourne, Secretary of the Thai Buddhist Missionary Union in Oceania, and Vice President of the Buddhist Organization of Australia, as a representative of Thai Theravada Buddhist monks who have served in Australia for over 26 years, delivered a keynote address outlining a path to building peace. The lecture focused on "quality human beings" through the principle of "Samma Ditthi," or right view, which is the foundation of virtue. It explained the law of karma and the cycle of rebirth, highlighting that all actions have consequences and that the ultimate goal of life in Buddhism is to attain Nirvana, the true cessation of suffering.

Phra Khru Bhavana Yanavithet also emphasized self-development through the "Ten Perfections": generosity, morality, renunciation, wisdom, effort, patience, truthfulness, determination, loving-kindness, and equanimity. He stressed that these perfections cultivate compassion and that world peace begins with "inner peace" within each individual. Participants were invited to practice meditation, extend loving-kindness to all beings, and build a global spiritual network to drive society towards lasting peace.

Phra Phrommoli presided over the opening ceremony of the 32nd Overseas Buddhist Missionary Training Program, emphasizing that Buddhist missionaries must serve the benefit of the world.

On March 23, 2026, at the Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University building, Phra Phrommoli, member of the Supreme Sangha Council and Chairman of the Office for Overseas Buddhist Missionary Supervision, presided over the opening ceremony. He was welcomed by Phra Phromwachrathirachan, Rector of Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University; Phra Dhammavajirodom, Vice Rector for Student Affairs; Phra Sittiwacharabandit, Vice Rector for International Affairs; faculty members; staff; and representatives from partner organizations.

On this occasion, Phra Kru Palat Rattanaveerawat (Rangsarit Itthichintako), Advisor to the Provincial Chief Monk of Pathum Thani and Abbot of Wat Phra Dhammakaya, paid respects to the Chairman of the Office for Overseas Buddhist Missionary Supervision. A donation of 120,000 baht was provided to support the 32nd training program for overseas Buddhist missionaries in 2026. This year, 17 monks from Wat Phra Dhammakaya, both from Thailand and abroad, have been selected to participate in the training program.

In his sermon, Phra Phrommoli stated, in part: “The training of Buddhist missionaries must be rigorous and intensive, as they will encounter different climates and people. Therefore, they must be prepared both mentally and emotionally. This is similar to the Third Buddhist Council, where Emperor Ashoka sent Venerable Sona and Venerable Uttara to the Suvarnabhumi region. They had to experience different environments, both in language and mindset. The important thing is that being a Buddhist missionary must be for the benefit of the community and region. Truth, sincerity, and intention—obstacles are not as important as determination. The dissemination of Buddhism by Buddhist missionaries must generate benefits, big or small, in the places they go. This is the aspiration of a Buddhist missionary…”

“1. Tưởng tới chỗ Phật sinh, hoan hỷ muốn thấy, nhớ mãi không quên, sinh tâm luyến mộ;

“2. Tưởng tới chỗ Phật thành đạo, hoan hỷ muốn thấy, nhớ mãi không quên, sinh tâm luyến mộ;

“3. Tưởng tới chỗ Phật chuyển Pháp luân đầu tiên, hoan hỷ muốn thấy, nhớ mãi không quên, sinh tâm luyến mộ;

“4. Tưởng tới chỗ Phật vào Niết-bàn, hoan hỷ muốn thấy, nhớ mãi không quên, sinh tâm luyến mộ.’’
