Ben is an illustration junkie whose love for drawing started the moment he could hold a pen. Since then he has been pursing his dreams as an illustrator/designer. For the past 3 years, his illustrations have been commissioned by friends for birthdays, weddings and anniversaries to name a few. Joanne has a knack for all things hand crafted. It started out when she thought it would be fun to have he
r own travel buddy – so together with Ben, they designed and created a plush toy. Before knowing, they ended up with more than 10 different characters and even started creating more for birthdays and Christmas give-aways. Sewing has since become her second nature. FRUS (pronounced froos) is born out of the passion that we have for crafted works. FRUS also serves as a platform for us to share our works with people beyond our circle of friends. FRUS is a representation of the phrase “From: Us”. We’ve put together a collection of handcrafted plush toys, customised illustrations, badges, cards, tote bags and mugs. At the heart of what we do at FRUS, we hope to bring smiles to the faces of the new friends we meet with our love for crafted works.
