THANK YOU to everyone who participated in Taiko Matsuri yesterday!

Our very first Singapore Taiko Festival was a success, and we couldn't have achieved this without each one of you!

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to His Excellency, Ambassador Hiroshi Ishikawa of Japan, for graciously attending our event and adding honour to the occasion.

A special thanks to our Venue Partner, Our Tampines Hub, to our Official Airline, ANA, and to our Food Sponsor, KAKUSHIN!

For the very first time in Singapore, experience a unique collaboration like no other as Hibikiya teams up with KCC Daiko, JAS Japanese Drum Group, and Gindaiko at Singapore Taiko Matsuri!

Coming together on stage for the first time, Hibikiya will unite with each of the groups to deliver exciting renditions of familiar taiko pieces.

Taiko Matsuri fringe activities

Our first activity is a movie screening, and we're so excited to share the first-of-its-kind documentary 父は家元 "My Father is the Grand Master" with you.

This beautiful film explores the art of the Japanese tea ceremony and the incredible life of the 13th Grand Master of Enshu Sado School,Fuden-An So-Jitsu Kobori, over three years. You'll get to immerse yourself in the 430-year-old tradition of the Enshu Sado School and gain insight into the essence of its rich legacy. Plus, the documentary is narrated by the headmaster's daughter, giving you a unique glimpse into the lives and traditions of a tea master's family. It's going to be a fantastic experience!

This 90 minute film screening is free.

The movie screening starts at 1pm.
Seating is available, at the Festive Plaza, on a first-come, first-served basis.
