This year, education and discovery took centre stage, from our biggest masterclass room yet in partnership with EHL Campus (Singapore), to the countless drams, questions, debates, and new favourites found along the way. It was a pleasure to host you, share with you, and learn alongside you.

We hope you left with something new: a deeper understanding, a bottle you can’t stop thinking about, or simply a moment that stayed with you.

40 Years of Nikka From The Barrel at WLS25

Nikka Whisky marks 40 years of Nikka From The Barrel, created in 1985 from Takeshi Taketsuru’s idea to share the concentrated, undiluted character tasted as if “straight from the barrel”. Built from more than 100 individual malt and grain components, shaped by distillery characters and cask influence, the whisky undergoes a secondary maturation in used puncheons at the Tochigi Aging Cellar before being bottled at 51.4% — preserving structure, texture, and clarity.

Admired for its depth and the unmistakable square bottle designed by Taku Satoh, FTB has become a benchmark in modern Japanese whisky and a recognised silhouette in contemporary spirits culture.

At WLS25, the Nikka booth allows guests to explore the components that form FTB’s profile. You’ll also be invited to write a wish for your future self — a simple gesture inspired by the idea behind FTB: that what you build today reveals itself over time.
