About the Artist:
Malcolm Koh was a rare architect-painter whose work united the precision of architecture with the poetry of art. Trained from a young age under Wu Zishen of the Shanghai School, Koh brought together his mastery of space, perspective and structure with a sensitive eye for light, colour and human life.

His paintings—of cities, streets, landscapes and people—capture not only what he saw, but also the spirit and atmosphere of each moment. His plein-air works are especially distinguished by their freshness, spontaneity and keen observation.

His art reflects a rare balance of structure and emotion, discipline and freedom, precision and sensibility. Koh saw light with an artist’s eye and space with an architect’s mind.

Celebrating 41 Years of Passion and Dedication

The opening ceremony of the first talent show of the Xinzhi Educational Reading Club once again demonstrated the club’s remarkable organisational spirit and vitality.

Forty-one years have passed, yet the enthusiasm and passion remain undiminished. From planning the programmes and collecting works to preparing the exhibition and coordinating the many details, the Board members devoted tremendous time, energy and effort to make this inaugural talent show a success.

It also made me think of the founding members 41 years ago. They must have been equally passionate and full of energy—busy organising activities, bringing people together, and travelling from place to place to build an organisation that combines a love of reading with friendship, creativity and vitality.

Forty-one years on, that spirit continues to shine. It is this enduring passion and commitment that gives the Xinzhi Educational Reading Club its special character and keeps its journey moving forward. 👏📚

郭丙端，字木人，号石心，斋号勤耕，中国画家书法家。
新院体水墨开创者，被誉为河南花鸟画小写意第一人，中国水墨艺术研究院副院长兼秘书长，河南美协书协双料会员，中原文化符号代言人。

1986年生于河南省安阳滑县，自幼受祖父影响，喜好文学，六岁习书作画，龆龀之年已能吟咏成章。

书法碑帖结合，气势恢宏，古拙劲健，苍劲中不失灵动，游离中不乏骨气，法度严谨，笔法独到。

绘画融中原文脉底蕴与当代审美风尚，开创独树一帜的新院体水墨体系；工笔精微传神，写意酣畅淋漓，兼具汉碑金石之气与东方哲思之韵，形神兼备，雅俗共赏。山水花鸟人物皆能。作品广为海内外专业机构、私人藏家收藏。

“无限视野，一个新加坡”国庆摄影展在8月12日，由裕廊东—武吉巴督集选区国会议员李宏壮主持开幕式。

90位摄影爱好者齐聚一堂，以113幅精彩作品庆祝新加坡61周年国庆。作品从新加坡到世界各地，以多元视角记录人文风情、自然美景与生活点滴，展现摄影的力量与创意。

本次展览由新加坡摄影学会、新加坡影艺研究会及新加坡彩色摄影学会联合主办，新加坡艺术空间承办。展出地点：66 Kallang Pudding Rd #01-01, Singapore 349324, 开放至8月16日（每天上午11点到下午6点）.

About 80 photographers and friends turned up to celebrate Singapore’s 61st birthday yesterday at the opening of “Boundless Visions, One Singapore" National Day Photography Exhibition. The event was graced by Member of Parliament for Jurong East-Bukit Batok GRC, Mr Lee Hong Chuang who was the guest of honour.

This exhibition brings together The Photographic Society of Singapore, the Photo-Art Association of Singapore, and the Singapore Colour Photographic Society - with different histories and identities, but united by one common passion: PHOTOGRAPHY.
