Observing that local producers are always passed over (and ignored) in this modern sea of options and alternatives, ! was our attempt at solving this burgeoning problem. Too long has the local food industry been overlooked and cast aside. Instead of being c

ontented with the status quo – ! is a creative initiative that raises awareness and connects everyone through food. Why support local, you might ask - Why not? By supporting local food producers, farmers and restaurants, we protect the health of our communities and help stimulate local industries towards a win-win. Supporting local has benefits that spans beyond mere convenience. When we as a community support local businesses, we not only get a better service, but also preserve the uniqueness of our community, and help make Singapore a better place to live. This “Singaporean flavour” should be remembered and preserved. Furthermore, we want to celebrate our local heroes by acknowledging the risks and challenges that they face. That being said, we strongly believe that there is no need for a myriad of reasons to support local business as it is definitely the right thing to do! We aim to connect all players in the local food scene to create something greater than individual and isolated sectors. With collaboration, new and exciting possibilities will emerge!
