Great news! The deadline for our Pitching Forum submissions has been EXTENDED until 25 August 2026, 11.59 p.m. (GMT+8). Still deciding whether to submit? Here's some extra motivation.

One international pitch (Session A) will win a S$10,000 cash prize from SGIFF that will directly go towards making the project a reality.

Two Singapore pitches (Session B) will win one of the following two prizes:

① A trip to Los Angeles, U.S., to experience the Sony Future Filmmaker Awards 2027 as Sony Singapore's special guest, including access to shortlisted filmmakers' screenings, an exclusive tour of Sony Pictures Studios, attendance at the awards ceremony, and opportunities to network with filmmakers from around the world.

② A trip to the 2027 Berlinale Co-Production Market as part of the Visitors Programme, targeted at producers looking to expand their global network and start co-producing internationally.

If you've got an international project seeking Singapore or Southeast Asian coproduction, or a Singapore project seeking international co-production, this is your moment.

Were you there at our annual appreciation screening of WE ARE ALL STRANGERS last Friday?

Our donors, volunteers and partners were treated to an exclusive preview of the film ahead of its local premiere on 20 August, with filmmaker Anthony Chen () and the cast in attendance. We hope you enjoyed the film (and perhaps shed some tears along the way, too).

A huge thank you to our guests for being part of the 36th festival edition last year, and to .pictures for generously sharing the film with our community. Spread the news and invite your loved ones to catch WE ARE ALL STRANGERS when it hits the big screen on 20 August!

What does it take to break into Hollywood? Throughout our "In Conversation With" dialogue session with Chin Han (Chin Han), hosted by actor Tan Kheng Hua (khenghua), his commitment to acting ran strong.

During the session, we were privileged to follow Chin Han's trailblazing journey from his first steps in Singapore's emerging (and oft-experimental) English-language TV sector in the '90s, all the way to his latest turns on screen in films like MORTAL KOMBAT II and Christopher Nolan's THE DARK KNIGHT.
