Welcoming all adult pianists, piano lovers and piano learners to our 2nd Evening Soirées for Adult Pianists. This edition, led by Dr. Khoo Hui Ling and Yip Sook Cheng, will workshop strategies from the well loved book "A Soprano on her Head" by Eloise Ristad, to turn performance stress into fun!

⏰When: 31st July 2026, 8pm-9.30pm
📍Where: Studio of Dr. Khoo Hui Ling
​(2 minutes from Beauty World MRT, full address will be shared upon registration)

🎟️ Public fee: $40/participant
🎫TMS fee: $28/participant

Welcoming Ms. Vivien Chong to our team of Music Studios teachers. Teacher Vivien is an accomplished pianist - after graduating from the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, Vivien taught at the Chethams School of Music in the UK where she obtained certification in Alexander Technique. She teaches from West Singapore, is able to travel to students homes in the short term and is accepting piano students of all ages and levels! Three Sundays ago, our young pianist took the stage at VOS Capitol Studios Recital Hall and shared their heartfelt performances at our Mid Year Student Showcase! Grateful to Voices of Singapore for providing a welcoming and intimate venue.

Being on stage for just those few minutes is often an understatement of the sheer hours of hard work put in months before, so bravo to all students for the perseverance and parents for the support!

It's really not about hitting the right notes, mere hours out into repetition, attempting difficult pieces...

It's about listening with discernment, evaluating ourselves through reflection and problem solving. That's what we got our students to do in our recent masterclasses Teachers Hui Ling, Yun Ying, Gracia and Jin Xia using critique cards as prompts, and we are so proud of them for responding beautifully.

More than just music lessons, what is learnt are transferable life skills that empower lifelong journeys of learning and growth.
