Why are fine motor skills so important?

Fine motor skills help children perform important tasks such as feeding themselves, grasping objects, and writing. The ability to accomplish self-care and everyday tasks by using fine motor skills helps a child's self-esteem and confidence grow. This is the reason why every kit will have its share of activity to hone the little one’s fine motor skills.

This tree activity was inspired by this year’s song by ! I caught the clip and instantly knew i needed to create something for the kids! Sing the song and exercise those little fingers by creating this tree. Stick on iconic photos and chat about the images with your child! The song is now constantly ringing in my ears! 😂

This is definitely the highlight of our NDP stronger together kit! Every piece painstakingly sewn! Pardon the imperfection coz they were all handsewn! It makes an excellent pretend play set (which can easily cost you an arm and a leg). Complementing it is a menu with the names of every ingredient. Grab a pair of chopsticks at home and get the child to pick you the ingredients which you will shout out in Chinese. For the littles who cant quite master their chopstick skills yet, no problem! Just go ahead and grab! The permutations are endless. So who’s keen in having hot pot with us? DM us today!

It has been tough times for many of us. Businesses are badly affected. Pretty sure you have noticed the decline in frequency of our launches. Logisitcs haven’t been kind to us. It doesnt help that the cost raw materials is on the rise as well. But is striving hard to keep the price the same and ensure that activities aren’t compromised!

Do you know that this theme makes a frequent appearance in our local Chinese textbooks? Here’s one from the Primary textbook and there’s another from our Primary 5 textbook. It goes to show how important this theme is! This is why our upcoming kit is created! To compliment your learning!
Some words from the books have been included in the activities. Call us sneaky/ genius but this is how kids should learn — through fun!

Kids learn best through play. This is particularly so when they are younger. Each activity in our boxes are often peppered with subtle learning notes. This is a recycling game the whole fam can enjoy. It is akin to to aeroplane chess if you are familiar.

Today’s Earth day. Let’s talk about 可再生能源. A term which we inteoduced in our latest kit.

Words like these may scare many off. Some may even think that their child is too young for such bombastic terms. But trust me, the more you try to use them in your daily lives, the more familiar they’d be with these terms. It doesn’t matter what age. It will go a long way once they start having oral examinations in future!

NEW DROP!!

Our planet is an amazing place, but it needs our help to thrive! If you haven’t already know, on April 22, we celebrate Earth Day! However it really shouldn’t be a one day event.

With this Earth Day learning kit, get your child to think about how he/she can help the Earth. A plastic bottle can take over 450 years to break down in a landfill. Before throwing something away, think about whether it can be recycled or repurposed

Swipe to see the full kit. There’s so much to do and two games which will bring hours of joy while sneaking in some word recognition. We are sneaky as always. The book “挑食的垃圾桶” is such a good read to complement our activities. Also in the kit are several crafts to work those little fingers. Fine motor skills are very important. We also know how troublesome it is to search and print out materials to entertain the lil ones on the go. We got you covered on this one!
