CARE Network Summit 2023: Desistance in the Community The Community Action for the Rehabilitation of Ex-offenders (CARE) Network was established in 2000.

The CARE Network Summit is an annual platform for the Network’s partners to foster relations and seed new opportunities through conversations and forthcoming sharing of ideas with one another. The Summit provides an opportunity for multiple stakeholders to learn from and network with one another, advancing collaborative efforts to support ex-offenders’ successful reintegration into society. This y

ear, we hope to ignite connections within the aftercare sector and beyond, to spur on synergistic efforts to further our cause and support our beneficiaries. Returning as an in-person Summit, we will be hosting a series of presentations to showcase the recent developments of our community corrections and reintegration efforts, as well as discussions and networking activities to reconnect with old friends and meet new ones! Through this, we hope to constructively deepen our understanding of ex-offenders, and also raise awareness and appreciation of the work put in to empower the lives of our beneficiaries. We continue to build our aftercare eco-system by inviting new players into the network as we believe that everyone can play a part in building an inclusive society.

Speaking of partnerships with like-minded corporations, we want to give a shoutout to Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre for sponsoring us with this year's venue!

The Summit was held at the gorgeous and spacious Nicoll Rooms 1 and 2, with our breakout sessions being facilitated at Rooms 324-326. It was such a conducive place to hold our various activities, from presentations and panel discussions, to round table discussions and even an exhibition gallery!

Suntec Singapore has been a strong advocate of the Yellow Ribbon cause, through provision of sponsorships in our Yellow Ribbon events and the employment of ex-offenders.
