اهتمام مجموعة دال بالثقافة والتراث السوداني نتاج طبيعي لكونها شركة سودانية قلبًا وقالبًا، تفخر بانتمائها لهذا البلد الفريد والمتنوع الثقافات إلى أبعد الحدود. لذلك فهي تشجع على الصناعة المحلية وتحرص على تقديم منتجات غذائية محلية الصنع والمصدر، لما يزخر به السودان من خيرات وفيرة. ومن هذا المنطلق، استشعرت دال أهمية التعريف والاحتفاء والترويج للمأكولات المحلية، ومن هنا أتت فكرة مهرجان الأغذية السوداني
ة التقليدية.
وبما أن الغذاء يرتبط ارتباطًا وثيقًا بالثقافة، لم ينحصر تركيز المهرجان على الأغذية التقليدية فحسب، فالموسيقى والرقصات الشعبية والثراث والتاريخ والأزياء السودانية كانوا حضورًا أيضًا في هذا الحدث.
تعي دال تمامًا أنه لولا ما قدمته هذه البلاد وشعبها لها، لما كانت على ماهي عليه اليوم. لذا فهي لم تكتفي بإقامة مهرجان الأغذية السودانية لتحتفي بثقافة وتراث السودان مع أبنائه وبناته مرة في العام، بل أفردت هذه المساحة الإسفيرية لكي يلتقي فيها عشاق هذا الوطن لنشر وتبادل المعرفة حول كل ما هو سوداني طوال الوقت، سواء كانوا داخل ربوع السودان أم خارجه.
والآن، تأتيكم هذه الصفحة بشكل ونكهة وطعم جديد ومعلومات أكثر عن السودان وثقافاته المتعددة. فنتمنى أن تستمتعوا معنا بطعم بلدنا. Being Sudanese to the core, it is only normal for DAL Group to proudly embrace and cherish the phenomenally diverse culture and unique heritage of Sudan. It thus supports local industries and encourages the patronage of locally made products. The group has also been keen to provide food products that are sourced, grown and produced locally, for Sudan is a country that is abundantly endowed with the bounties of nature. Based on this perspective, DAL felt the strong need to celebrate and promote traditional Sudanese food, and this is how the idea of the Sudan Traditional Food Festival came about. It's no secret that food and culture go hand-in-hand, which is why the festival’s focus was not merely limited to traditional food, but also covered different aspects of the heritage, culture and history of Sudan, including Sudanese folk music and dance, as well as traditional costumes. Dal is mindful of the fact that if it wasn’t for the people of Sudan and what this country keeps offering to it, it would not be where it is today. Therefore, celebrating Sudan’s culture, heritage and people just once a year was not going to be enough, and for this reason it has re-launched this website/page for everyone who shares a love for Sudan and would like to learn more or exchange information about everything that is Sudanese whenever they wanted. With the website’s/page’s new look and feel also comes plenty of new information about Sudan, its diverse cultures, and much more.
