Kaika’s Songs, a uniquely philosophical debut novel by Mohammed AlModhayan, made its first appearance last night at Al Jalees’ Literary Circle. The author surprised us with the arrival of his newly published Arabic version of the book, which he had rewritten with beautiful Arabic prose. It was a pleasure to feature at this month’s book club event, and we wish him continued success in his writing endeavors.

“الرمية الأخيرة - ساعة أمل”سحر بحراوي

في هذا اللقاء نقترب من الأدب المسرحي بوصفه مساحة تقول ما لا تقوله المباشرة.
نلتقي مع الكاتبة سحر بحراوي
لنناقش مسرحيتين: “الرمية الأخيرة” التي تضع الحب والزواج تحت ضوء المجتمع والمعايير والخوف من المواجهة، من خلال شخصية “عاطف” وما حوله من نماذج تشبه الواقع.
و“ساعة أمل” التي تمزج الفانتازيا بالكوميديا السوداء لتفتح سؤال الوقت بعد فواته: ماذا لو مُنح الإنسان ساعة إضافية؟
وكيف يمكن أن يحمل معه إلى “العالم الآخر” نفس عاداته وأحكامه وقلقه؟

لقاء يفتح أسئلة عميقة بلغة مسرحية خفيفة، ويكشف كيف تصبح التفاصيل الصغيرة مرآة لما نعيشه يوميًا.
