Mituri privind francmasoneria românească. De la suspiciuni fanariote la acuzații comuniste
Prezentarea a examinat acuzațiile nefondate aduse francmasoneriei românești de-a lungul timpului. De la suspiciuni exprimate de Biserica Ortodoxă, la acuzații fanariote de conspirație și, ulterior, la conspirațiile fantastice atribuite francmasoneriei de către legionari sau comuniști, francmasoneria românească a trebuit să se confrunte constant cu o avalanșă de mituri nefondate, rezultatul informării deficitare și al ignoranței celor care au asumat astfel de poziții.
Acuzatorii francmasoneriei au preferat să-și bazeze discursul pe lucrări și informații de calitate îndoielnică, precum cele ale lui Leo Taxil sau chiar ale unor autori promovați de regimul fascist. Prezentarea și-a propus să demonstreze nu doar că argumentele acuzatorilor au fost, de cele mai multe ori, fabricate în mod transparent, ci și să evidențieze acțiunile concrete ale masoneriei românești în contrast cu acuzațiile aduse împotriva ei — deoarece, în cele din urmă, dictonul latin „Facta non verba” poartă întreaga greutate semantică menită să susțină aceste afirmații.

Myths regarding Romanian Freemasonry. From Phanariot suspicions to communist accusations
The presentation examined the unfounded accusations levelled against Romanian Freemasonry over time. From suspicions expressed by the Orthodox Church, to Phanariot accusations of conspiracy, and later to the fantastical conspiracies attributed to Freemasonry by Legionaries or communists, Romanian Freemasonry has constantly had to contend with an avalanche of groundless myths, the result of poor information and the ignorance of those who adopted such positions.
The accusers of Freemasonry preferred to base their discourse on works and information of questionable quality, such as those by Leo Taxil or even by authors promoted by the fascist regime. The presentation aimed not only to demonstrate that the accusers’ arguments were, in most cases, transparently fabricated, but also to highlight the concrete actions of Romanian Freemasonry in contrast to the accusations brought against it — since, ultimately, the Latin dictum “Facta non verba” carries the full semantic weight intended to support these claims.
