SÓLSTAFIR este una dintre cele mai originale și fascinante formații ale scenei muzicale islandeze. Înființată la Reykjavík în 1995, trupa și-a transformat rădăcinile de black metal într-un sound profund și cinematografic, în care se întâlnesc post-metalul, rockul atmosferic, accentele de doom și melancolia peisajelor nordice.

JINJER are coming back to Rockstadt in 2027!

Over the past 15 years, JINJER have grown from the Ukrainian underground into one of modern metal’s most fearless and forward-thinking bands. Their boundary-pushing catalog, from the viral impact of “Pisces” to the crushing intensity of Macro and the dark complexity of Wallflowers, has helped earn them 250+ million global streams and views, while their live reputation continues to level up with every cycle.

Duél marks the next evolution. Singles like “Someone’s Daughter,” “Fast Draw,” and “Green Serpent” showcase a band that refuses to stand still, diving deeper into lyrical weight and sonic experimentation without losing an ounce of heaviness. Coming off their first EU headline tour in six years, the band’s return was a major success, with multiple sold-out shows and consistently strong turnouts across the run. VENOM - BLACK METAL (45th Anniversary) at Rockstadt in Transylvania!

One of the most influential albums in metal history will be celebrated and performed at Rockstadt next year. For this unholy occasion, original founders Jeff “Mantas” Dunn and Tony “Abaddon” Bray will bring the spirit of this legendary release to the lands of Transylvania!

Released in November 1982 by Neat Records, Venom's second studio album Black Metal is a foundational masterwork of extreme music. It single-handedly named and inspired an entire subgenre, serving as the critical blueprint for thrash, death, and black metal bands that followed

The show in Ghimbav, Romania will see the original Venom founders summoning the spirit of this classic album alongside an infernal all-star line-up of guest musicians.

Thrash metal institution OVERKILL is coming back to Rockstadt in 2027!

An integral part of the early-'80s thrash metal movement that spawned acts like Metallica and Anthrax, New Jersey's Overkill garnered a reputation for brutal, pounding speed and technique.

They were one of the first thrash metal bands to be signed to a major label (having signed to Atlantic Records in 1986), and rose to popularity as part of the genre's movement of the mid-to-late 1980s, along with the "Big Four" (Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer and Anthrax) and other bands such as Exodus and Testament. Overkill achieved its first mainstream success with their second studio album and Atlantic debut, Taking Over (1987), which peaked at number 191 on the Billboard 200. The band's next five studio albums – Under the Influence (1988), The Years of Decay (1989), Horrorscope (1991), I Hear Black (1993) and W.F.O. (1994) – were also successful on the Billboard charts, with the latter two entering the top 10 on the Top Heatseekers chart.

Overkill has sold over 16 million records worldwide.

MGLA, one of the most important names in the contemporary European black metal scene, is coming back to Rockstadt.

Formed in the early 2000s, MGLA quickly rose to power and, alongside Behemoth, became the spearhead of the Polish black metal scene. Mgla are known for their raw and organic expression within the genre. Their music explores themes of nihilism and mysticism, delivered with intense, aggressive soundscapes. Initially a studio project, they began performing live in 2012, maintaining a stark visual presentation that emphasizes the music itself.

After its most successful year yet, Rockstadt is returning in 2027 in a new form.
