Could you be the next TEDx speaker?

On 21 November, TEDxPraça Gil Eanes is coming to Domes Lake Algarve in Vilamoura for PITCH NIGHT.

We’re looking for people with ideas worth sharing. From all applications, eight finalists will be selected and given just three minutes to pitch their idea live.

A jury will narrow the field, then the audience will have their say, helping decide who moves forward towards our main TEDx event in May.

Last night was an Adventure 🤩

We gathered at Villa Alvor Vineyard for our latest TEDxPraça Gil Eanes Salon, exploring what adventure can mean beyond simply travelling somewhere new.

Achim Nowak, Patrycja Piesiur, Marcos Bravo and Alexandra Rocha Pereira shared their perspectives, with Beatriz Antunes stepping in at the last moment to brilliantly moderate the conversation. We also screened short films by Ower Contreras and Mathias Fernandes. 😍

But what made the evening especially meaningful was the community. After two years of TEDxPraça Gil Eanes events, we’re seeing so many familiar faces return, as speakers, volunteers, supporters and audience members.🌞

A huge thank you to our volunteers, All Stars, our event partner, and Villa Alvor Vineyard for hosting us, and to everyone who joined us. 🫶🏼

Think open air, a glass in hand, ideas on the screen and plenty of time to talk in between.

For Ower Contreras, a professional filmmaker, adventure can be found in the choices we make, the directions we decide to follow and the willingness to see where they might lead.
