Twimyo nomo yop chagi is a highly demanding special-technique side kick in Taekwon-Do that requires coordinated generation of vertical lift, horizontal displacement, and precise neuromuscular timing. Its biomechanical efficiency depends on stable body posture, controlled center-of-mass movement, and accurate force transmission along the longitudinal axis of the kicking leg. Because the technique is executed in flight, even small errors in take-off angle, chamber timing, or trunk alignment can significantly reduce reach, balance, and impact effectiveness.
Unfortunately, Andrei’s jump was recorded using a camera positioned behind the athlete. Consequently, the available footage primarily captures the posterior view of the movement, which is particularly suitable for analyzing the spatial trajectory of the center of mass, the kinematics of the take-off, and the overall ex*****on pattern of the jump. This viewing angle facilitates detailed assessment of flight path, body alignment, and temporal sequencing of the kicking phases, although lateral and frontal kinematic variables are less accessible from this perspective.

Did you know that Lublin is the Taekwon-Do capital of Poland?

Do you also know that Grand Master Tadeusz Łoboda, President of the Polish Taekwon-Do Association, is receiving this distinction at a truly special moment—when the Association celebrates its 35th anniversary? It was Tadeusz Łoboda who led to the creation of this organization and, for over three decades, has consistently developed it, building its strength, structure, and international standing.

This recognition therefore carries a meaning far beyond symbolism. It honors the vision, determination, and lifelong work that have permanently placed Lublin on the map of global Taekwon-Do.

It is worth remembering that the history of Taekwon-Do in Poland began right here—in Lublin—at a time when access to knowledge and international connections was limited, and developing this discipline required courage, ingenuity, and… technology. It is a story of breaking information barriers, using the most advanced communication tools available at the time, and laying the foundations for what has become a strong and modern training system.

Taekwon-Do has always remained closely connected to science, research, and technological development—both in training and in sports organization. Today, this connection is even stronger, and Lublin continues to be one of its key centers.

The award presented to Grand Master Tadeusz Łoboda is not only a recognition of the past, but also a confirmation that Lublin continues to play a vital role in shaping the future of Taekwon-Do in Poland and worldwide.

We would also like to extend our congratulations to Coach Wojciech Kamiński and Karolina Pęk, who were also honored today with the City of Lublin Sports Awards.

Show us your daily routine! 🥋
General Choi Hong Hi once said: „In my life, there was never a day without training.”
Think about that. Never. A. Single. Day.
Whether he was locked up as a prisoner, representing Korea as an ambassador , or leading as a general ⭐ — it didn’t matter how overwhelming his responsibilities were or what corner of the world he found himself in. He showed up. He trained. He pushed forward.
His discipline was absolute. He trained relentlessly until his body finally refused to obey.
That’s the standard. That’s the legacy. That’s Taekwon-Do.
👉 Now it’s your turn — show us YOUR daily routine!

Black Belts, let’s start with 10 reps on each leg. We’re kicking off Monday with a demanding challenge—are you in? Test yourself against a tough exercise performed by Master Suska and Grand Master Jedut, and see how far you can push your limits.

Can Dwit Chagi really work? 👊🏻
Absolutely — if the timing, distance, and control are right. In the right moment, it can stop an opponent fast and turn defense into a powerful counter.

What can a small girl do when a much larger, stronger man attacks her?
In Taekwon-Do, the answer is clear: more than you think.
Taekwon-Do is, first and foremost, a martial art of self-defense. At Firlej, we never forget that.
According to EU data, around one in three women has experienced physical or sexual violence in adulthood, while recorded sexual violence offences in the EU remain alarmingly high.

Dear girls — do not leave learning these skills for “later.”
Do not treat self-defense as a side note in your Taekwon-Do journey.
One day, these techniques may be the most important tools you ever have.
Train self-defense. Train with purpose. Train at Firlej.

In sport, we often talk about strength, discipline, and perseverance—but true performance begins in the mind. Mental health, balance, and the ability to pause are just as essential as physical training. Without them, even the strongest athletes lose their edge.
That’s why Grand Master Jerzy Jedut and Master Jarosław Suska invite you to something more than just training.
In the last week of August, they welcome you to Lubelszczyzna—their small homeland—where, by the peaceful waters of Lake Firlej, you can reconnect with what really matters. Here, between sessions, you will find space to breathe, to calm your thoughts, and to restore your inner balance.
Because sometimes the greatest progress doesn’t happen during training—but in the quiet moments after.
Lake Firlej is not just a location. It’s an experience: morning mist over the water, the rhythm of nature slowing you down, and the rare chance to train your body while truly taking care of your mind.

Join us where tradition meets tranquility.

We know that in competition sparring, it’s easier to rely on your basic kicks — dollyo, yop, or goro. But we encourage you to train, and more importantly, to try kick combinations like the ones in the video, during national tournaments. That’s how other techniques start to feel natural.
Our brain likes familiar paths and automatic reactions. In a fight, we often go back to what feels safe and well-practised. But the more you step outside that comfort zone, the bigger your options become.
Break the habit. Build new ones. 👊🏻
