🎭Dziś obchodzimy Międzynarodowy Dzień Teatru i nie ma chyba lepszego momentu na ogłoszenie naszego kolejnego projektu.
🎭Outperforming All The Hate - using forum theatre to combat racism and discrimination amongst youth (OATH) to projekt szkoleniowy skierowany do pracowników młodzieżowych mający wyposażyć ich w wiedzę i kompetencje niezbędne do pracy z młodzieżą metodą Teatru Forum w kontekście przeciwdziałania dyskryminacji i rasizmowi w grupach rówieśniczych.
🎭 Teatr Forum to interaktywna forma teatralna stworzona przez brazylijskiego praktyka dramy, pedagoga, reżysera oraz twórcę koncepcji „Teatru Uciśnionych” (Theatre of the Oppressed) Augusto Boala, która zakłada bezpośredni udział widzów w przedstawieniu. Widzo-aktorzy mogą wchodzić na scenę, zastępując konkretne postaci i kierując przedstawienie na nowe tory. Widzo-aktorzy, wcielając się w rolę głównego bohatera tzw. protagonistę i uczestnicząc w interwencjach, badają dostępne alternatywy i trenują rozwiązania problemów, które są adekwatne do ich codziennych trudności. Dzięki temu następuje zderzenie z własnymi sytuacjami problemowymi oraz z konsekwencjami podejmowanych lub zaniechanych działań. Widzowie improwizują, we współpracy z aktorami i prowadzącym, tzw. jokerem, który pośredniczy między sceną a widownią, nad kolejnymi scenami.
🎭 W trakcie intensywnego, 8-dniowego kursu przeszkolimy grupę 14 pracowników młodzieżowych z Finlandii (Learning for Integration ry), Francji (Jeune Avenir Mondial), Macedonii (EDU-INCLUDE-Ohrid), Polski (Fundacja Fantazmat), Rumunii (IPSI),Turcji (Aegean Youth) i Włoch (FNISM TARANTO) w praktycznym wykorzystaniu metodologii teatru forum oraz wystawimy oparty o nią spektakl w języku angielskim.
🎭Naszym szkoleniowcem będzie Jarosław Rebeliński, trener, teatrolog, edukator dramy i teatru. Absolwent AT w Warszawie na Wydziale Wiedzy o Teatrze. Ukończył „Drama w edukacji” (ODN w Warszawie), „Kurs kwalifikacyjny dla edukatorów dramy” (Polski Ośrodek ASSITEJ) oraz kurs Teatru Forum (Fundacja Drama Way), projekt: „Więcej niż teatr” (Instytut im. Jerzego Grotowskiego), warsztat mistrzowski Teatru Forum z Adrianem Jacksonem, szkolenie „Rainbow of desire”. W 2018 rozpoczął współpracę z Teatrem Playback Self 3.0, łączącym techniki teatralne i psychodramatyczne. Prowadzi zajęcia z arteterapii dla osób z niepełnosprawnościami intelektualnymi (współpraca z Fundacją „Ja też”, PSONI oraz Teatr Razem). Przez dziesięć lat był Kierownikiem Teatru w Gdańskim Archipelagu Kultury, w którym realizował autorskie projekty: Projekt Drama, Teatr Forum, koordynował działania na rzecz mieszkańców dzielnic Gdańska, tworzył teatr ze społecznością lokalną. W latach 2009-2016 wykładowca w Gdańskiej Wyższej Szkole Humanistycznej na Wydziale Pedagogiki. Prowadził szkolenia dla wielu organizacji m.in. MOPR Gdańsk/Spot/Gdynia, ECS, SWPS w Warszawie, Referatu Profilaktyki Straży Miejskiej w Warszawie, Fundacji Centrum Solidarności.
🎭W kolejnym etapie projektu duety trenerskie wyszkolone w ten sposób wyprodukują spektakle w swoich społecznościach w oparciu o lokalne konteksty i wyszkolą kolejnych praktyków. Stworzymy również zasoby do wykorzystania przez inne podmioty chcące zaimplementować metodologię Boala do swoich codziennych działań.

🎭Today we celebrate International Theater Day, and there’s probably no better time to announce our next project.
🎭Outperforming All The Hate - using forum theater to combat racism and discrimination amongst youth (OATH) is a training project aimed at youth workers, designed to equip them with the knowledge and skills necessary to work with young people using the Forum Theater method in the context of combating discrimination and racism among peer groups.
🎭 Forum Theater is an interactive theatrical form created by Brazilian drama practitioner, educator, director, and creator of the “Theatre of the Oppressed” concept, Augusto Boal, which involves the direct participation of the audience in the performance. Spect-actors can take the stage, replacing specific characters and steering the performance in new directions. By taking on the role of the main character—the so-called protagonist—and participating in interventions, audience-actors explore available alternatives and practice problem-solving strategies relevant to their daily challenges. This leads to a confrontation with their own problematic situations and the consequences of actions taken or left undone. The audience improvises, in collaboration with the actors and the facilitator—the so-called “joker,” who mediates between the stage and the audience—on subsequent scenes.
🎭 During this intensive 8-day course, we will train a group of 14 youth workers from Finland, France, Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Turkey, and Italy in the practical application of Forum Theater methodology and stage a performance based on this approach in English.
🎭Our trainer, Jarosław Rebeliński is a coach, theater scholar, and drama and theater educator. He is a graduate of the Academy of Theater Arts in Warsaw, Department of Theater Studies. He completed the “Drama in Education” program (ODN in Warsaw), the “Qualification Course for Drama Educators” (Polish ASSITEJ Center), and the Forum Theater course (Drama Way Foundation), the project “More Than Theater” (Jerzy Grotowski Institute), a Forum Theater masterclass with Adrian Jackson, and the “Rainbow of Desire” training. In 2018, he began collaborating with the Playback Self 3.0 Theater, which combines theatrical and psychodramatic techniques. He leads art therapy classes for people with intellectual disabilities (in collaboration with the “Ja też” Foundation, PSONI, and the Razem Theater). For ten years, he served as Theater Director at the Gdańsk Archipelago of Culture, where he implemented original projects: Project Drama, Forum Theater, coordinated activities for residents of Gdańsk neighborhoods, and created theater with the local community. From 2009 to 2016, he was a lecturer at the Gdańsk University of Humanities in the Department of Pedagogy. He conducted training sessions for numerous organizations, including MOPR Gdańsk/Spot/Gdynia, ECS, SWPS in Warsaw, the Prevention Department of the Warsaw Municipal Police, and the Solidarity Center Foundation.
🎭In the next phase of the project, the coaching duos trained in this way will produce performances in their communities based on local contexts and train new practitioners. We will also create resources for use by other organizations wishing to implement Boal’s methodology into their daily activities.
🎭 This will be the first project we carry out in a new location, which we’ll discuss in more detail in a separate post. We’ve already scheduled the first activities for May!
