Over the decades, this quote from Dr. Jose Rizal has resonated with us, never losing its profound truth. Children are the foundations we build for the future of this nation; they are the investments we raise to ensure the continuation of this country, and to help them and the community alike, the Rotaract Club of Western Mindanao State University undertook a small gesture.
Aligned with Rotary's mission to enhance basic education and literacy worldwide, the Rotaract Club of Western Mindanao State University, led by Project Head Rtr. Jessa Mae Dello, generously distributed school supplies to the children of the Child Development Center in Barangay Arena Blanco on September 10, 2023. The project was titled 𝗥𝗢𝗧𝗔𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗧2𝗨𝗥𝗢 with the theme "𝗙𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆: 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗚𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀", ensuring that they are fully equipped to face the academic year ahead. During the event, the children were given the chance to play, enjoyed a brief moment of story-telling led by a Rotaractor, and were taught proper handwashing techniques to promote healthy lifestyles within the school grounds.
Education is the key to a brighter future, and even a small gesture can have a profound impact on these young minds. We extend our deepest gratitude to our valued sponsors, Ms. Khim Armidz M.
