Relive the defining moments in our official End Polio Run video highlights and see how the Rotary Club of San Juanico - Tacloban, District 3860 mobilized community action for a global cause. This event brought together individuals, families, and communities to take meaningful steps toward eradicating polio.
Polio is a highly infectious viral disease that primarily affects children under five, attacking the nervous system and potentially causing permanent paralysis. While there is no cure, it is entirely preventable through sustained immunization. Thanks to the leadership of Rotary International and its PolioPlus initiative, alongside the Global Polio Eradication Initiative, polio cases have dropped by more than 99.9% since the late 1980s, with over 2.5 billion children immunized in more than 120 countries โ a testament to what global collaboration can achieve.
With over 1,300 runners from across the country, the End Polio Run transformed participation into protection, awareness into action, and a community event into a global contribution.
