A celebration of Culture, Talent, and Passion!
As we wrap up our month-long celebration of National Tourism Month, we are truly grateful to have ended it on such a meaningful note through our Cultural Dance Workshop and Competition with the amazing participation of the Haraya Ensemble of Malapatan College of Science and Technology.
More than just dancing, this activity gave our students and participants the chance to learn, appreciate, and connect with the rich cultural traditions of our people. Through every step, rhythm, and movement, we were reminded that our dances carry stories, identities, and traditions that deserve to be preserved and passed on to the next generation.
Our heartfelt thanks to our Guest Speaker and Judge, Sir Mark Angelo Blasabas, for generously sharing his knowledge on the basic fundamentals, steps, and backgrounds of various Moro and other cultural dances from across the Philippines. Your passion for culture and the arts truly inspired our participants!
We are also grateful to our esteemed judges, Sir Jomari P. Estrera, LPT, MMPA, and Hon. Aldren Salinda, LPT, for sharing your time and expertise and for giving fair and thoughtful judgment during the competition.
To Maโam Jehana Pelima, MPA, LPT, Haraya Ensemble Coordinator, and Sir Kinjie Baรฑas, thank you for your support and for helping make this activity possible. And to our School Administrator, Dr. Maria Giovanna Abecia, Ed.D., thank you for allowing our students to step forward, showcase their talents, and let their passion shine through dance.
We also extend our deepest gratitude to the Malapatan Tourism Office, headed by our Senior Tourism Operations Officer, Ar. Raquel B. Pajarillo, MAPS, and to the entire Tourism Office team for your tireless efforts in making this celebration meaningful and memorable.
Our sincere appreciation goes to the LGU Malapatan, under the leadership of our dynamic and visionary Mayor, Hon. Salway D. Sumbo Jr., MMPA, together with our municipal officials, for the continued support to Tourism, Culture, and the Arts.
And of course, a special thank you to our Municipal Tourism, Culture and the Arts Development Council Co-Chairperson, Madame Flordeliza P. Sumbo, MMPA, for always being there and for continuously supporting the development of Tourism, Culture, and the Arts in our beloved municipality.
This celebration reminded us that culture lives when we choose to learn it, appreciate it, and share it. May we continue to keep our traditions alive, not only in our memories, but also through the talents and passion of our young people.
