The Barangay Local Government Unit of Malandag informs all residents that the PhilSys National ID Registration will be conducted on June 5, 2026 at the Malandag People’s Center.

Residents who have not yet registered for their National ID are encouraged to avail of this opportunity and bring the necessary supporting documents for verification and registration.

The Barangay Waterworks and Sanitation Association (BAWASA) of Barangay Malandag hereby informs all water consumers in the identified areas that the scheduled disconnection of water service accounts will commence on June 2, 2026.

Consumers are reminded that automatic disconnection shall be implemented for accounts with unpaid obligations exceeding one (1) month, in accordance with the established policies and regulations of BAWASA.

All concerned residents are encouraged to settle their accounts on or before the scheduled date to avoid service interruption and ensure the continuous provision of water services.

For inquiries and concerns, please coordinate with the BAWASA management or visit the Barangay Hall during office hours.

In line with the continuing commitment of Barangay Malandag to promote public health and animal welfare, FREE Anti-Rabies Vaccination Drive with FREE Vitamins (limited stocks) will officially begin every Wednesday starting May 27, 2026, at the Old Barangay Hall Building.

This initiative is made possible through the leadership of Punong Barangay Hon. Helen “Bebing” Allaga- Aradanas and initiative of Hon. Roy Reiner S. Octavio, Chairperson of the Committee on Health, who will render his service on his day of duty.

Residents are encouraged to bring their pets and avail of this free community service to help ensure a safer and healthier Barangay Malandag for everyone. 🐾💙

Through this commemoration, Barangay Malandag reaffirms its commitment to creating a community where every individual is valued, respected, and empowered regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, culture, or background. It also recognizes the importance of fostering an environment where diversity is embraced as a source of strength and progress.

More than a symbolic observance, Pride Month and the Balangaw Festival encourage meaningful conversations about equality, representation, and the shared responsibility of building a community founded on mutual respect and compassion. Barangay Local Government Unit of Malandag headed by Hon. Helen “Bebing” Allaga- Aradanas, through the Committee on Public Order, Safety and Transportation, is currently conducting a Public Hearing on the proposed Speed Limit Ordinance aimed at enhancing road safety and protecting the welfare of motorists, pedestrians, and residents within the barangay, presided by Hon. Ferdinand B. Fantin together with the Committee Chair Hon. Alex P. Duron whose also the author of the commmittee.

The activity gathered motorcycle drivers and representatives from various TODAs, members of the Barangay Peacekeeping Action Team (BPAT), the Philippine National Police (PNP), and other stakeholders to discuss the provisions of the proposed local legislation. Participants were given the opportunity to express their views, recommendations, and concerns regarding the implementation of speed regulations along key roads and thoroughfares within the barangay.

The public consultation underscores the commitment of the Barangay Council to uphold participatory governance by ensuring that policies affecting the community are crafted through dialogue and collaboration. Once enacted, the proposed ordinance is expected to contribute to safer roads, reduced vehicular accidents, and improved public safety for all constituents of Barangay Malandag.

The Barangay Government of Malandag informs the public that the Regional Advisory Council 12 of the Regional Highway Patrol Unit 12 will conduct a Charity Ride in line with the NAG Anniversary Ride on May 30, 2026, passing through the Provincial Road towards the National Highway.

In connection with this activity, all residents along the Provincial Road are respectfully advised to avoid double parking and ensure that dogs are properly tied (“naka tali/higot”) to help maintain order, prevent disturbances, and avoid possible accidents during the event.

The Barangay Government highly appreciates the cooperation and understanding of everyone in ensuring a safe, smooth, and successful activity for all.

📣 𝐇𝐎𝐋𝐈𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝐀𝐍𝐍𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓

Malacañang has officially declared Wednesday, May 27, 2026, a Regular Holiday throughout the Philippines pursuant to Proclamation No. 1264, in observance of Eid’l Adha (Feast of Sacrifice).🌙✨

In line with this declaration, all offices and departments of the Local Government Unit of Malandag shall be temporarily closed today, except for offices and personnel directly involved in the delivery of essential and emergency services, including health services, disaster risk reduction and management, rescue and response operations, and peace and order services.

Regular office operations and government transactions will resume on Thursday, May 28, 2026. 🗓️✅

In demonstrating swift action and genuine concern for the welfare of the people, the Barangay Local Government Unit of Malandag together with personnel from MENRO conducted an onsite visit and inspection at PhilGen Pacific Food Corporation to personally witness and monitor the company’s proposed interventions regarding the pressing odor complaints raised by residents of Sitio Lower Lamcanal.

During the visit, the company presented its immediate actions to help lessen and control the strong odor coming from the acidic water in its water lagoon area. As of yesterday, the company reportedly purchased 5,000 kilograms of Hydrated Lime to be applied in the lagoon as part of its odor-control measures. The management also stated that an additional 10,000 kilograms has already been requested for daily maintenance and continuous intervention.

Present during the inspection were Punong Barangay Hon. Helen Allaga- Aradanas together with Barangay Kagawads Hon. Roy Reiner Octavio, Hon. Noel Pido, and Hon. Epifania Manlangit, who stood alongside concerned agencies to ensure that the sentiments and welfare of the residents remain a priority.

The BLGU Malandag assures the community that their voices are being heard and that the barangay leadership continues to take firm and proactive actions to protect the health, comfort, and well-being of every resident. Through direct inspections, coordination, and constant monitoring, the barangay government remains committed to finding concrete and lasting solutions to the issue.

This is to inform all consumers regarding the unscheduled water interruption caused by a water leakage at Purok Poinsettia. Water technicians are already deployed in the affected area to assess the situation and immediately conduct necessary repairs on the damaged pipe lines.

The BLGU Malandag asks for the patience and understanding of all affected households while restoration efforts are ongoing.
