From the Libon Half Marathon Team:
First of all, thank you to everyone who joined us last Sunday; runners, volunteers, partners, and of course, the whole Libon community.
This was our town’s very first half marathon, and honestly, were just overwhelmed with gratitude. Your energy, your patience, & your support made all the difference. Seeing the smiles, the high-fives, and even the quiet moments at the finish line, those are things well never forget.
We know it wasnt perfect. We’re aware of some lapses here and there, and for that, we truly apologize. Weve taken note of the feedback and we’ll use that to improve.
We really did our best to provide quality entitlements that you deserve from the medals, to the shirts by Gusto Apparels and singlets by Anno-dotz, even the stitching we tried our best to give you something that lasts, something youll be proud to wear and remember. We also tried to give you one of the best routes and running experiences we could offer.
We also made sure to involve the Libon community, because this event wasnt just for the runners, it was for the people watching, cheering, volunteering, and supporting from behind the scenes. This was Libon showing what it’s capable of.
For some of you, this mightve been your first time in Libon and for others, maybe you only get to pass through once a year, or once in many years. Thatss why we did our best to make your visit memorable. We wanted to show not just our roads, but our community, our hospitality, and what Libon is truly about.
Thank you to the LGU of Libon and the Engineering Office for letting us use town resources and for having our back.
To the PNP, baranggay officials and barangay police, thank you for keeping the roads and runners safe. To MDRRMO, RHU, BFP, and standby Medics thank you for being on standby in case of emergencies, you gave us peace of mind. To LM Salgado, for jumping in last minute host And to Justice Esperenza, thank you for leading the Zumba warm-up before the gunstart.
And of course, a huge shoutout to our media team; RunCoco, JAM's Malagueño's Photography and crew, RusShot, and RUNurse for taking thousands of amazing photos and theyre still uploading. Please support them by liking and sharing their pages. They worked so hard to capture every moment.
And to those who saved us in the final crunch; Joselito Rosales, ArTente Graphics and Printing Solutions, Printshoppe Arts & Design, Alpha Print & Apparel, Nana Tuning, and Fuel Rush thank you for accommodating our last-minute and very demanding requests just a day before the event. We owe you big time!!
Lastly, just a quick note: to those spreading wrong info or throwing shade online without being at the event, we see you. Lets be responsible with what we post. We’re open to feedback, but lets keep it honest and respectful. If needed, we wont hesitate to correct false stories publicly.
At the end of the day, what stood out was the heart of this community, the runners who pushed through, the crowd who cheered, and the volunteers who showed up before sunrise.
Thank you, Libon. This is just the beginning. See you at the next one; stronger, better, and always proudly Libongueño. 🧡
