We are pleased to share that our recent event held last May 4, 2025, overall, was a success — marked by strong participation, meaningful engagement, and positive feedback from attendees. The overall objectives were met, and many aspects of the event were well received.

As with any large-scale initiative, we encountered a few challenges. One of the key issues was the timely distribution of the 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗿’𝘀 𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗿𝘁𝘀 for our 12K participants. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and are taking steps to improve our processes moving forward.

To address this, we will hold a 𝗙𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗥𝗘𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗢𝗙 𝗨𝗡𝗖𝗟𝗔𝗜𝗠𝗘𝗗 𝗙𝗜𝗡𝗜𝗦𝗛𝗘𝗥’𝗦 𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗥𝗧𝗦 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗦𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗟𝗘𝗧𝗦 on Saturday, May 17, 2025.

While the event was a success, we acknowledge that there were still challenges and areas for improvement, and we want you to know: WE HEAR YOU.

Here are important updates and next steps for everyone concerned:

1. 📦 Unclaimed Race Kits and 12K Finisher’s T-Shirts

For those who were unable to claim their race kits or 12K finisher shirts, we will hold another distribution on:

📅 Friday, May 9, 2025, 8AM to 5PM
📍 DLEC Nest – 2nd Floor of On-the-Go Carwash, Buaya, Lapu-Lapu City

2. 🚚 Refund for Delivery Fee (if you picked up your kit personally)

If you opted for delivery but later picked up your kit in person, you may request a refund of your delivery fee.

ANNOUNCEMENT: Datu LapuLapu Run 2025 is Still a GO

📍 May 4, 2025 | Mactan Shrine

Despite the heavy rains tonight, the Datu LapuLapu Run 2025 remains on schedule. The safety of our participants is our top priority, and we are currently awaiting further updates and guidance from local authorities. Rest assured, we will keep everyone informed of any major developments.

In the meantime:

✅ The DLEC Eagles Nest remains open for late-night race kit pickups.

✅ Unclaimed race kits can also be picked up at the Mactan Shrine before gun start.

✅ For those whose kits were scheduled for delivery but were not received due to the rain, we will be refunding the DELIVERY FEES collected after the event.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we continue to monitor the situation closely. Stay safe, runners—and thank you for being part of this meaningful event.
