To God be all the glory! 🤍🎗️
After months of planning, preparation, and hard work, iCANRun is grateful to officially complete the turnover of donations to our beneficiaries. Through the support of our participants, sponsors, donors, volunteers, and the entire community, we were able to raise a total net amount of ₱161,030.00, allowing us to provide ₱10,064.38 to each beneficiary.
Our goal from the beginning was simple yet meaningful: one beneficiary per barangay in La Trinidad. While some barangays were unable to respond or did not have identified cancer patients at the time, we are thankful to have successfully supported 16 beneficiaries through this initiative.
The turnover ceremonies were held in two batches:
📍 April 28, 2026 at the La Trinidad Municipal Gymnasium, where 10 beneficiaries attended, and
📍 May 7, 2026, where the remaining 6 beneficiaries received their assistance.
We sincerely apologize for the long wait before the release of the funds. As organizers, we wanted to ensure that all finances underwent proper checking, accounting, and verification processes to guarantee transparency and avoid any discrepancies. The funds were carefully reviewed and approved through the proper offices, including the OSCA Office, before distribution. Alongside this, the organizers were also balancing academic responsibilities, examinations, and coordinating schedules with beneficiaries and venue availability.
Despite the challenges, God remained faithful throughout every step of this journey. What started as a simple student-led advocacy became a meaningful reminder that when a community comes together with compassion and purpose, lives can truly be touched.
