In light of the creation of Bogsers' House Music & Arts Members Club, I would like to tell a story defining the purpose of this undertaking.
We are known as the ELDERS musicians of Davao City. There are the * Silent Generation - born 1928 -45
* Baby Boomers - born 1946 - 64
* Gen X - born 1965 - 80
* Millenials - born 1981 - 96
* Gen Z - born - 1997 - 2012
* Gen Alpha - 2013 - 2024
~ Silent Gen Musicians are still around. Only a very few are alive & are now in their late 80'- 90's. Most because of old age is ailing in health.
~ Baby Boomers Gen - are now in their late 60's & mid 70's (I am one among them)
~ Millenials Gen - are the most active ones now in the music industry. And are dominant in the music industry & making a living of it. Local & abrpad. And It is their generation that is the majority of society todate.
~ Gen Z - are the young musicians now making their way in establishing their prominence in the music industry, following the Millenials.
I've always been being a light bringer to my fellow musicians in my generation, specially. And I have offered mentoring to some Millenials musicians, in particular the members of Jazzistas de Davao Musicians of which I created in 2008. Sharing with them my knowledge both in music & in life as well. Most these fine young musicians find these mentoring invaluable & practical & have helped them pave their way & shape their music career
They are now successful musicians in their own rights, earning a living & claiming their share of fame & fortune at present.
Working in Cruise ships & in Prestigious Hotels abroad.
We the Baby Boomer Musicians on the other hand are now slowly nearing the end of our roads.
We intend to take many more vows & some kind of recognition before the curtain call.
Sad to note though that a few of us Silent Gen & Baby-Boomers Gen musicians are at present "ailing" and many of us have already gone on to the afterlife.
Our plight & predicament now is that.., there's not much demand for us to play local Entertainment venues & Bars anymore. These places are suited more for the Millenials Musicians. A sad reality but true! It's their time now. Our time has come to pass.
Simply put.. Our time has lapsed. It's the Millenials time now!
We the baby boomer musicians are frequently seen now in funerals of fellow musicians, in tributes performances honoring those in our generation that have gone on.
We are getting fewer & fewer each year. And funny how our conversation in our "get together" events are mostly about " health & medical challenges we are all facing at present.
But we have not given up hope! And by God's grace, wisdom & guidance, we are raising our expectations higher & finding ways to still make our "Lives" worthwhile & productive. We believe that we can still be fruitful & be earning a living even at this age if we strategize & make the odds work in our favor.
Now.... Here is the Key to unlock these blessings of abundance.

Specially the Baby Boomers & Gen X!
Is it not that we are all entwined in familiarity to the Music of our Generations! We we're all growing up listening to these music & it played a very vital part in our very existence even now!
Bogsers House of Music & Arts Members Club was created for this reason in mind. For the "Elders Musician" to still be actively engaged in music & still earn a living even in our remaining years.
We believe that life can still be exciting, fruitful & productive. By being about our passion, our purpose and to keep playing music for as long as we still can.
