Vice Mayor Ivy Durano, on behalf of Mayor Nito Durano, extends her sincere appreciation to everyone who contributed to the success of the Danao City International Ultra Trail 3rd Edition.
While the race itself was a remarkable sight, its true success came from the people behind it.
She acknowledges the 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 for providing clear direction and leadership throughout the process.
To the 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘀, whose dedication on the trails ensured safety and readiness every step of the way.
To the 𝗥𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀, for upholding the standards and integrity of the event.
Vice Mayor Durano also commends the 𝗯𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀, who remained hands-on throughout the event. On the ground, on the trails, and with their communities showing that real public service goes beyond presence; it is active participation and leadership where it matters most.
She extends heartfelt gratitude to the 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗼, whose strong support, openness, and pride transformed the race into a shared celebration. Their involvement reflects genuine community buy-in, empowerment, and engagement.
A special recognition is given to the 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗥𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘀, who stood as stewards of the trails guiding runners, protecting the environment, and ensuring the safety and integrity of every route. Their presence on the ground reflects the true spirit of community-based tourism in Danao, where locals take an active role in safeguarding and showcasing their natural heritage.
More importantly, she emphasized that DCIUT continues to highlight the strength of Danao City’s community-based tourism where local communities are not just hosts, but active partners in creating meaningful and sustainable experiences. Through this, livelihoods are supported, local identity is strengthened, and Danao’s natural and cultural assets are shared with the world in a responsible way.
Recognition is also given to the 𝗣𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 (𝗣𝗜𝗢) for managing timely and effective information dissemination, and to 𝗠𝗲𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵 for ensuring seamless data management from registration to race results.
Finally, she thanks the entire trail running community, both local and international, for trusting Danao City and bringing energy and purpose to this initiative.
Vice Mayor Durano emphasized that the success of DCIUT 3rd Edition is a collective achievement made possible through collaboration, shared commitment, and a unified vision for Danao.
“𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘄𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆.”
