What an incredible journey it has been! Over the past three days, practitioners from all over the Philippines and beyond came together to train, learn, and grow under the guidance of senior instructors and masters.

More than just physical training, the seminar was a chance to connect with fellow martial artists, exchange ideas, and reaffirm our commitment to the values of respect, discipline, humility, and perseverance.

As we wrapped up this meaningful chapter, we carried with us not only new knowledge and refined skills but renewed motivation to represent Moo Duk Kwan with integrity and heart in our own dojangs and communities.

The spirit is strong. The journey continues.

On the evening of June 15, 2025, the Moo Duk Kwan family gathered for a truly unforgettable occasion, the 60th Philippine Moo Duk Kwan Anniversary Banquet.

Dressed in elegant modern Filipiniana and Barong Tagalog, guests graced the venue in timeless Filipino fashion, a nod to both cultural heritage and martial discipline. The evening radiated pride, unity, and reverence as we honored six decades of building character, leadership, and community through Soo Bahk Do.

The program featured a meaningful awards ceremony recognizing individuals and leaders who have made lasting contributions to the art. From pioneering instructors to dedicated youth, each award served as a reminder of the heart and soul behind the Moo Duk Kwan legacy.

As stories were shared and milestones celebrated, the spirit of Moo Do was alive in every corner, felt in the laughter, seen in the tears, and remembered in the many moments that made up the journey of the past 60 years.

To all who joined us, both from across the Philippines and around the world, thank you for being part of this historic evening. You made it truly special.

Day 7 | The tour brought us face to face with one of the country’s greatest natural treasures, the Philippine Eagle. Known as Haring Ibon or the “King of Birds,” this powerful yet critically endangered species reminded us of the importance of preserving not only our heritage, but also the delicate balance of our environment.

Walking through the sanctuary, we were in awe of their grace, strength, and silent wisdom. It wasn’t just a tour, it was a humbling experience that left us inspired and deeply proud to be Filipino.

Day 7 | The culmination of intense training, discipline, and dedication led to this pivotal moment, the Ko Dan Ja Shim Sa presentation, presided over by Kwan Jang Nim H.C. Hwang via Zoom.

With hearts grounded in Moo Do values and minds focused on the art, the candidates stepped forward with calm confidence and respect for the tradition they uphold.

Presenting their years of study and refinement were Sa Bom Nim Edgardo Grandeza, Sa Bom Nim Herbert Jardinel, Kyo Sa Nim Gerardo Pingoy, Kyo Sa Nim Angela Grandeza, and Kyo Sa Nim Carlo Boy Laude. Their performance was a reflection of not just technical excellence but a lifelong commitment to preserving and promoting the true spirit of Soo Bahk Do.

Congratulations to our Ko Dan Ja candidates for representing with honor and pouring their hearts into every moment of the presentation.

Day 6: As the sun rose on the final stretch before the Ko Dan Ja Shim Sa presentation, energy and anticipation filled the air. Candidates dedicated the day to refining every detail, reviewing hyungs, polishing techniques, and aligning their mindset for the upcoming test of discipline and spirit. The dojang was alive with focus, camaraderie, and the shared determination to give their very best.

To keep everyone fueled and in high spirits, a special treat awaited during lunchtime, a delicious serving of lechon, graciously provided by Agro-Industrial Foundation College of the Philippines.
