HIMUGSO 2026: 2ND KINAADMAN SA KASAYSAYAN

The pursuit of knowledge and the reverence for local heritage rise together as Cagayan de Oro’s brightest young minds converge for the 2nd Kinaadman sa Kasaysayan on June 17, 2026, at SM CDO Downtown.

Anchored on the 76th Charter Day Celebration of Cagayan de Oro City and its theme, “Our Gift. Our Pride. Our Guide.”, this gathering becomes more than an event—it is a living tapestry of intellect and identity. Fifteen junior high schools, with all slots now officially filled, come together in a full assembly of excellence, where history and heritage are brought to life through the Oratorical Contest, Quiz Bowl, and Poster Making Competition.

More than a contest, Kinaadman sa Kasaysayan is a journey through time and thought—where young Kagay-anons rediscover their roots, give meaning to memory, and breathe life into Kagay-an’s legacy. Knowledge connects, creativity speaks, and pride unites a people who remember and rise.
Join us as we celebrate learning, heritage, and civic pride—and be inspired by a generation committed to understanding its past and shaping its future.

[PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT] As announced earlier by City Mayor Klarex Uy, starting Monday, June 1, 2026, City Hall operations will resume regular working hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

An Executive Order will be issued by the City Mayor on Monday to formalize the said announcement.
