With profound sadness, the Woodville Lions Club confirms the passing of Peter Johns, one of our longest-serving and highly valued members, following an incident during a club fundraiser in support of the Hospice.

Immediate first aid was provided at the scene by the event medical team and Peter was then transported to hospital. Tragically Peter passed away following a medical event associated with the injuries sustained in the incident.

Peter was a highly respected member of the Woodville Lions Club and the wider community. His loss is deeply felt by all Lions and all those who knew him.

The Woodville Lions Club extends its sincere condolences to Peter’s family and asks that the family’s privacy be respected at this difficult time.

The club is undertaking a thorough review of the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident.
