Love, local business, and a growing buzz 💍✨ The 2026 Kāpiti Wedding & Events Expo didn’t just fill a room, it sparked real momentum across the Coast.

From the moment doors opened, the space hummed. Couples planned their big day in real time, friends swapped ideas over coffee, and local businesses turned conversations into opportunities. It wasn’t just an event, it was a snapshot of a region in motion.

This is no longer just a local gathering. Around two-thirds of attendees travelled from outside Kāpiti, reinforcing the Expo’s rise as a regional drawcard. Nearly 9 in 10 visitors were actively planning a wedding, most within the next year, with a strong core in the 26–35 age group.

And they didn’t just browse, they engaged. Many attendees connected with 14–18 exhibitors throughout the day, with some booking on the spot and many more planning to follow up. Free entry played a key role too, helping create a full, vibrant atmosphere where discovery felt easy.

For exhibitors, the impact went well beyond visibility. Many walked away with double-digit leads and strong pipelines for future bookings, with projected revenue often reaching into the mid to high four-figure range and beyond. Just as valuable were the connections made between businesses, opening doors for referrals and collaboration.

Beyond the venue, the ripple effect continued. A majority of visitors from outside the Coast spent locally on food, drink, and retail, turning the Expo into a broader day out and supporting the local economy along the way.

All of this was powered by a campaign that reached hundreds of thousands across digital, billboards, radio, and print, building momentum well before the doors opened.

As planning begins for 2027, one thing is clear. This Expo is becoming more than a date on the calendar. It’s a growing driver of connection, opportunity, and local impact on the Kāpiti Coast.

And this story is only just getting started… with even bigger plans, broader reach, and more opportunities on the horizon for both couples and businesses ready to be part of it. Momentum is building, and the Coast is ready.
