Well, another week closer to HPR 2026, the guys at Kyle Park have been busy: more fences have been pulled out, the new boundary fence has gone up, and work to improve the water supply is well underway.

HorsePower Rally returns to Timaru this October 3rd and 4th, 2026,

At our new venue, Kyle Park, the home of the South Canterbury Traction Engine and Transport Museum.

Many will have heard by now about Kyle Parks' expansion. We now have enough land to hold Horse Power Rally at Kyle Park.

Over the next few months, as we draw closer to the event, we will be bringing news of this exciting new development as our hard-working crew sets about preparing the site for the big event.

The weekend after our rally, 5 Burrell Traction Engines ventured from Levels to Cave via the Pareora Gorge. The film below documents that run and is well worth a watch!
