Eat out and then have a hand made Only Scoop ice cream for dessert at the theatre. Or BYO favourite snack and tipple and prepare for a good evening.

Features a stellar cast including Helena Bonham Carter, Maggie Smith, and Julian Sands, offering gorgeous scenery, sharp social wit, and a deeply charming story.

Nominated for eight Academy Awards and won three. It also won five British Academy Film Awards and a Golden Globe. It is considered by the British Fim Institute as one of Britains finest films.

Widely considered a masterpiece of romantic comedy and period drama. Based on the novel by E.M. Forster, it follows Lucy Honeychurch, a young woman whose trip to Florence sparks a romantic awakening and challenges her upbringing. Torn between a free-spirited suitor and a proper but passionless fiancé, she must reconcile societal expectations with her own desires. With exquisite period detail, stunning Italian and English settings, and stellar performances, this Oscar-winning classic is widely praised as witty, romantic, and visually lush.

There is a $10 membership fee for new members which will be collected on the night and your first movie is free.

So that's it for 2026. The lights are off and we're going away to plan a bigger and better festival for 2027. So many ideas in our heads already but generally we want to engage more businesses and High Street next year.

We've learnt and adjusted mid stream this year. For instance, raising the screen and adjusting the seating for the last two movies really made a difference.

So many people to thank for the success of this year. Firstly the people who attended any of the movies across the seven nights. We were delighted in the energy you gave to the festival.

Picton Drive-In Movies what an excellent event.
Picton Little Theatre's outstanding team & venue.
Bucket List Movies with their monthly screening.

St Vinnie's Picton loaning lazy boy couches.
ONLY SCOOP for their amazing ice-creams.
Anne Gaelle Photography capturing the moments.

If you have any thoughts on the festival going forward we'd love to hear from you.

The third of the final three movies in the 2026 event. You'll know the music. But the story shows the difficulty Ravel had in pulling the work together. After seeing this 2024 movie, I went away and did some reading on the artist to understand a bit more about him and what I'd seen in the film.
