With our first show coming to life as a charity event supporting Waipuna Hospice, Lights Out Fight Series true vision was always a little different. Tommy's journey across the world, one Muay Thai fight at a time, led him to Cambodia where he encountered the unique 9-minute round ruleset. This rule had two fighters going toe to toe over a single 9-minute round, where victory could only be achieved
through a knockout, referee's stoppage, or submission via standing choke hold! With no opportunity to experience this rule set again, Tommy always had the idea of bringing it back to home soil. After the success of Lights Out for Hospice and a bit of extra encouragement Lights Out Fight Series was born! Not only is Lights Out home to the 9 minute round, we are very proud to be sanctioned by WBC Muay Thai - One of the most prestigious sanctions in the world of combat sports!
