5 years ago the guys behind Kings Ohakune and Ruapehu Brewing wanted a cool event over Easter weekend. With loads of visitors to our stunning region, we needed something for the evening, so one of the best little beer festivals was born! We follow up on feedback each year and are family friendly 2-5pm (R18 after 5pm). We support local musicians with acoustic music until 8pm when 2 bands take stage!! We have beer alternatives and offer an amazing menu from Chef CapTims low and slow bbq!! Ruapehu NZ Roots Brewing Co. Lads Brewing Company and Craft Beer Bar The Beer Engine Mount Brewing Co. These Easter school holidays, the Ruapehu NZ is the perfect playground for kids of all ages! Enjoy scenic family walks and bike trails for all ages. Visit the award winning Ohakune Carrott Adventure Park, the very cool Dinosaur House or go have a throw at the free Ohakune Disc Golf and National Army Museum, Waiouru New Zealand always has school holiday activities. Our Ohakune Beer Festival is on Easter Saturday with Pete's Natural full range of sodas on special. Doors open with live music from 2pm, a delicious BBQ menu and for the parents a stunning array of adult beverages.
