Vendor applications close on October 1st team!! We’ve had so many more than I expected and I’m absolutely pumped with the market that will allow us in 2027! Thanks so much everyone. If you’ve got a favourite vendor you’d like to see there tag them in the comments so we make sure they know. 💜

This year’s market was a HUGE hit both with our participants and the local community.

With our chosen venue for next year we will have even more space to accomodate vendors. Yippee!

So, we are now taking expressions of interest for our Wool in the Bay market happening on April 18th, 2027.

It’s official! You can put it on your calendar, my friend. April 16,17,18 of 2027 we will be meeting in the Art Deco capital of the world, Napier, at the Napier War Memorial Centre for classes, workshops, yarny hangs and an open market. I’ll have more details for you in the coming months but for now SAVE THE DATE!

We were incredibly fortunate to have join us for the weekend and teach our classes. All the feedback has been how spectacular she is, patient, energetic, knowledgeable, and just so so lovely.

Pru, thank you for coming all this way to join us! You brought so much s***k to our event and I know people have come away with new skills as well as a willingness to keep growing in their making journey. Your positivity and joy just radiates out of you and it was a pleasure to have you here with us. I’m sure I speak for all of us when I say we hope you’ll come back!

It’s going to take some time to really process all that the first Wool in the Bay was and why it’s made me so emotional. You all showed up and made it so incredibly special with your aroha and spirit of acceptance of others and friendship with one another. Thank you for you for traveling and making this is a truly special weekend. Once I’ve rested I’ll be answering the million dollar question I was asked for two days straight, “Will you be doing it again next year?”.

Our Sunday morning cold water dip before the market was so unbelievably energising and fun. Most of us were pretty cool about it but I’m sure people could hear me down the beach screaming my lungs out over the cold. Six of us braved the water all the way in and we had a few pals on the beach cheering us on! I’m so glad we did this, it was hilarious and good fun.

We are looking forward to some evening fun tonight at who’ve made us some gorgeous signature drinks… a cocktail and a mocktail version to celebrate our first Slip Slip Knit (SSK) Night!
