Carter Dalgety arrives at this year's McMillan Equine Feeds New Zealand Junior Drivers Championship with history in his sights.

Only three drivers have successfully defended their crown. Now, Carter has the chance to become the fourth.

🐴 Addington Raceway | First race 4.44pm
Friday Night Lights is back with the Winter Rewards Finals. Enjoy free entry through Spectators Bar & Bistro, live racing, and Christmas-in-July dining and hospitality if you're making a night of it.

🐴 Alexandra Park | First race 5.02pm
Celebrate Mid-Winter Christmas with a festive night of live racing, great food, drinks and good company. Public entry is free through Alex Bar & Eatery, plus don't miss the feature Silk Road Final.

🔹 Sunday
🐴 Central Southland Raceway, Winton | First race 12.37pm
The Winter Rewards Finals head to Winton for a great afternoon of country racing. Free entry, food and drinks on course, and a welcoming local atmosphere. Southern Harness Racing

🐴 Addington Raceway | First race 1.11pm
Round out the weekend with a relaxed Sunday at the races. Free entry, great food, live racing, and plenty of room to enjoy the afternoon with family and friends. Plus, a bouncy castle for the kids (weather permitting). 🎈

Meet Darnika Williams.

A passion for horses and the thrill of competition are what first drew Darnika into race driving, but it's the connections she builds with each horse and watching them develop that she loves most.

Her favourite? Mystery Beach. The horse that gave her her first fast-work drive and got her hooked on driving.

We're excited to welcome Darnika as one of The Trots' sponsored drivers. You'll see her competing at race meetings around the country, so if you're trackside, keep an eye out for her and say hello.
