Bahamian born—Tamaki bred muso Elisa is a wonderful and well rounded artist.
As a UoA Jazz school graduate Elisa began her career in the local jazz scene performing with the likes of AMA nominated collective Alchemy and Nathan Haines. Elisa has utilised her technical abilities gained within her degree to develop her dynamic and alternative sonic pallet. She has continued in her collaboration with Nathan post graduating, featuring on his latest album and performing together in Shanghai in 2023 and last year at the Powerstation.
She also has performed with Flamingo Pier at their 10 year anniversary festival and is also collaborating with fellow tamaki based singer-songwriter Serebii.
Elisa released her first single, ‘Despondent’ at the end of 2023, a soaring rock anthem that journeys through the trials and frustrations of flatmates and friend-ships.
She then proceeded to release her Second single ‘What am I’ the following year, accompanied with a fantastic show at the beautiful Unitarian church in August of 2024. With her versatile and genre bending motifs, Elisa puts out a sound that is fresh, making her a note worthy and exciting artist.
