The country has been broken down into manageable sections to either run or walk from Cape Reinga (most northerly point on the North Island) through rural and urban centres of New Zealand all the way to Bluff (most southerly point on the South Island) taking in as many schools as possible to raise awareness for Variety the children charity and child poverty in New Zealand. Each section of the relay

shall have a project lead. The project lead will be able to run their chosen leg where they like as long as it is the same distance as the one they are leading on in the relay. Each project lead will get as many other runners and/or walkers as is safe to do so to join in the event, and raise donations for Variety- the children's charity. The project lead will plan their own route between the destination points
or similar distance elsewhere and if possible take in as many schools along the way and run around the playground with the school's permission, raise as much awareness as possible and of course as many funds as possible.
