Fuelled 💎f by Tailwind Nutrition NZ Tailwind Nutrition NZ ! Felt good out there today' windy and cloudy but nice 9km' this weeks been good' last running day of the week tomorrow (which will take me to about 52km for the week) but feel I'm finally getting into the right headspace to turn it tf on and turn it up' with training and get my seriously beast 💎f mode on over the coming months in the prep for Irunsudan1000 !

So cool af to get out to the ippnz warehouse today and chat at length to Will and Nick and get kindly kitted out with some epic af running gears today! It's so appreciated when nz companies who are holding it together in these crazy economic times take time to listen and hear about what your striving for and get on board' supporting in any way they can and will be an active and solid part of my journey to IRUNSUDAN1023!

Time for an update on the progress' thoughts and leadup to the most challenging running expedition I will have ever embarked on! Irunsudan1000 where I will be running just over 100km a week for 10 weeks throughout The Sudan' that's a not insignificant 1023km pacing through the khaotic streets of Khartoum to the rural villages' through the incredible deserts and pyramids and highways of Sudan! This is planned at this stage for May June July ish of 23
The reason I have created Irunsudan1000 is to raise funds for young and aspiring athletes in Sudan' primarily muaythai athletes and young committed runners' who don't have the gear or equipment they need to train properly' the "gyms" that don't have the most basic of kit or dedicated' trained professional coaches' athletes and coaches that don't have access to so much that we ourselves take forgranted in sport' to provide for them opportunities' to grow' develop and evolve to their potential in their chosen sports' with a view to reaching a point where they can achieve their dreams of representing their country and supporting their familes' ! I want to raise 20k at a minimum to have major and positive lasting impact on the lives of these athletes'
I will very soon be putting a callout to get a number of various tier sponsors to come on board' Irunsudan1023 and put their money where their support is at just $1 per km that I.am running' $1023 can do so.much to changes lives and makes dreams reality!

Training is underway' getting in time on feet and kms logged' I'm still definitely just in a building stage' creating a solid base but that's fine' I'm strong' focused and know what I need to do and the conditioning needed for IRUNSUDAN1000'

They have legit af been my goto' can't live without' running sunglasses for as long as can remember' with all that I am striving forward with promoting sport and running in Sudan who reckons that goodr should come on board and support irunsudan? Very amped' stoaked' honoured as all crazy to have Mealamu Security on board Irunsudan1000 as a major sponsor! Could not be more proud and excited to have this company on board as a sponsor' to in return represent them in all I strive to achieve through this Running expedition in Sudan for our young teams and athletes in Sudan that we support via the Sudan Muaythai and kickboxing Federation that we established in 2018!

Ffs that was brutal' beautiful yeah ok maybe but brutal absolutely! I'm still building and getting stronger and so it was tough for me' but in honesty was my mental game....give me a legit desert and all it emcompasses' or a highway to the horizon and I'm legit in my element' running like a metronome' in awe and wonder at the experience' and I do it' just keep running through that fxxker totally zoned and amped by it....give me a trail run with massive elevation' mud and I'm just like 'fxxk this s**t..wtf is this s**t'
Tailwind Nutrition NZ as always got me through' and proud as fxxk to be a trailblazer' even though I'm no natural born athlete' and still gett8ng stronger after so long out of the game due to shoulder injuries' surgery and recovery' but as my husband says' You the world' honey and in 23 Irunsudan1000 ! So follow my journey toward what will be an epic af running expedition in Sudan in 23!

Welcome to the page I created so you can follow my journey to preparing for and through running 1023km through Sudan in March 23!

I am so amped and excited for this Running expedition that I am privileged to be in a position and with connections and knowhow' to be able to make happen!

From through the khaotic streets of Khartoum to the long long roads into the villages and communities further South...I will RUNSUDAN, where ever the roads' cities' villages and deserts take me! 1023KM over 10 weeks' what an honour! There are incredible deserts and phenominal pyramids in Sudan that I will endeavour to run and explore!

There will be a significant global fund raising ( I refuse to call it charity) component to IRUNSUDAN1023 that will raise funds to Empower and Enable young Sudanese Muaythai Athletes and Runners to have the opportunities in sport and life that we consider our right' and take forgranted!

You'll be able to follow me through IRUNSUDAN1023' there will be very extensive and far-reaching coverage of the expedition' I'll take you on the journey' the highs the lows' the brutal' the beautiful in the raw! It is my absolute goal to turn this coverage into a RUNNING DOCUMENTRY THAT will educate' inspire' empower runners and people around the world!
