छठ पुजा सेवा समिति रानीघाट Chhath is an ancient Hindu Vedic festival historically native to the Madhesh of Nepal ,eastern Uttar Pradesh and Bihar of India .

This festival is dedicated to god Sun. Sun is called Surya (Sun) in Sanscrit, Chhat parba is thanks giving to lord Surya for sustaining life on earth and to worship him to provide his continuous blessings to mankind.
