The 2025 World Agility Open (WAO) Championships will take place from May 14–18 at the National Hippic Centre in Ermelo, Netherlands. This high-profile event, sponsored by FitPaws, showcases top-tier dog agility, emphasizing skill, speed, and partnership between handlers and their dogs. Since its establishment in 2011, WAO has focused on creating a specialized, non-political international competition, where dogs of all backgrounds, both purebred and mixed, can participate in various agility challenges.
The competition will feature events like the Biathlon, Pentathlon, and Games, testing a wide array of agility skills across different jump height divisions, ensuring a fair and competitive environment. The event prioritizes safety and innovation, using advanced agility equipment and technology for the best competitive experience. Automatic entries are granted to top winners from previous agility championships, offering some of the most accomplished agility teams a chance to compete without needing team qualifications.
