This years TEF Artisan Area will be a lot more exclusive then previous editions, with only 3 unique eyewear brands on display. Still devided into two sections, with Gin in Berlin for extravagent or technical eyewear collections and Cherry in Paris for romantical designer frames. All on its own in the Gin in Berlin section, is a brand that looks at the future with the eyes of the past! bob sdrunk is an italian lifestyle eyewear brand which was founded by a team of expert opticians. This brand stands out in the market with a competitive product concept that no one has ever made before.

Looking at the future with the eyes of the past!

The third and final addition to the TEF Artisan Area is bob sdrunk, a lifestyle eyewear brand based in italy which was founded by a team of expert opticians. This brand stands out in the market with a competitive product concept that no one has ever made before.

Their meticulous research of design, shapes, materials and the attention of each single detail are the result of a high quality, original and uncommon eyewear. Bob wants to create something that never existed that finds its identity in the future whereas its origins and the inspirations come from the past.

It is with great pride to announce the 2nd brand that will be participating in the upcoming TEF Artisan Area during Bold Optical Fair next September. And not just a brand, but one of the most talented and charasmatic women i have met in the optical arena. Selima Salaun from Selima Optique, the trend-setting, luxury eyewear brand she founded. Selima believes your eyewear is a reflection of your look — the personality you project. Your look is the mood you convey each and every day!

Selima herself was born along the Mediterranean Coast and the rhythm of the Riviera is in her soul. She embodies French sensibility, style and elegance. But her wit and whimsy are all her own, and they bring the brand to life.

Her ambition and love for eyewear aesthetics took her to New York City to manage the Alain Mikli boutique. When faced with the opportunity to move to Tokyo for the brand, her fate was sealed. She drew inspiration from the raw energy of New York and couldn’t imagine living anywhere else! With the confluence of passion, expertise, and inspiration, she created her own luxury brand — a fusion of that French sensibility and the creativity that’s uniquely New York.

Only three unique brands will participate in this years Artisan Area during Bold Optical Fair, making the whole area even more unique!

Say hi to Davette's Lunettes. This French made, California based brand, designs their eyewear not just around the face, but also around someone’s personal character. Davette’s inspiration starts with her love for colorful vintage accessories, and is finished with a modern contemporary fit. Designer Davette Fournier states, “I’m simply making eyewear that I love for me… and I love sharing it with people who want pretty things. I focus keenly on women’s accessories with vintage flair, and the intent to capture the beauty of independent women interested in making a lasting impression everywhere they are seen.”

Dit seizoen introduceert TEF het Portugeze avant-garde merk VAVA. Geïnspireerd en gefascineerd door de postindustriële wereld waarin steden als Detroit, ooit een symbool van industriële welvaart, dramatisch instortten en gedwongen werden zichzelf opnieuw uit te vinden om het voortbestaan te garanderen.

Deze twee contrasterende uitersten ziet VAVA als zwart en wit. De witte toekomst is eenvoud, netheid en zuiverheid. De zwarte toekomst is duisternis, verval en ondergronds. Deze 2 werelden vind je terug in hun White Label en Black Label gemaakt. Beide collecties hebben een verfijnde, hedendaagse en stedelijke uitstraling. Ze zijn ontspannen, subtiel futuristisch, conceptueel en tegelijkertijd tijdloos.

Vanaf januari 2018 zal VAVA in Nederland vertegenwoordigd worden door TEF, met een Kick-Off op deze editie van Bold Optical Fair. Kom deze twee werelden van toekomst en verval aanschouwen op de VAVA stand van de TEF Artisan Area. Een uniek merk waarmee je je absoluut kan onderscheiden!
